The Flyers are going all out today pulling out an old clip of Kate Smith to sing God Bless America with the live performer.

Where's Bobby Clarke, Rick Mac Leisch, and Bill Barber?

Flyers collapse was pretty entertaining. Should have watched the Canadian feed, they would have shown the classy fans extracurricular activities.

Was praying the Kings traded for Couturier a few years ago. Had no idea he would ever be this good.

I did. Couldn't believe he fell into the Flyers lap the year he was drafted. If the Flyers hadn't botched up his development, he'd have been productive sooner. I don't care how good he as at 18, shutting down Malkin, in 2012, he was skinny 18 yr old and should have been sent back To Juniors for at least 1 yr and the AHL for 1. He was pigeon holed into being a 3/4 line shutdown center with nothing on wing. His 24 second shifts, for the most part, started in his own end, against the very best in hockey.

Only thing Hakstol did right was put him in a position to succeed this year, once he adjusted, he has not looked back, His IQ is that high . He's very smart, sees the ice well and uses his size and strength to that accord. You add top wingers, and he's money. In his last 100 regular season games, he's 3rd in the NHL in ES scoring , behing MacDavid and Kucherov.

On a torn MCL, put up more pts in the last 2 games (7) than Giroux and Voracek have combined in their last 12 playoff games.
He'll be the next FLyers Captain to hoist the Cup, I've been saying that for the last 3 yrs. . Hoping that hextall finally sees that Capt. Invisible is a playoff bust again this year and trades him.

As long he and the other 2 members of the (lack of) 'leadership' trio (Simmonds, Voracek) are here, they will continue to fail.
Simmonds trade rumors started last year (and they would have gotten more for him, his play dipped this year) He's as good as gone. Hoping the other 2 follow suit by next summer.

Look like the Avs are done. That Nashville / Winnipeg series is going to be a good one.

I remember once upon a time here, several years before his actual draft, he was being looked at much in the same vein as...maybe not Crosby but at least Mackinnon. Forget what happened that he slipped a bit but the potential was always there, good to see him capitalizing on it.

Calgary Flames will be announcing the hiring of Bill Peters today as head coach. Leaves head coach openings in NY, Dallas and Carolina (for now).

Great move by the Flames, mistake (IMO) from the new Canes GM. I get that every GM wants to name their own guy but Peters is a good coach who got a lot out of a team without a #1 center and questionable goaltending at times.

He's got a talented group and should be a difference maker.

This has been a really boring 1st round of the playoffs. Lots of blowouts.

The CBJ/WSH series has been pretty good. Not much else has.

There’s been plenty of good hockey, the Philly vs. Pittsburgh game yesterday was great and tight, up until the Pens blew them away with a huge 3rd.

Leafs vs. Bruins has been fun, the second round matchups are also looking exciting in the West. The best teams have been the ones to advance.

The dullest and least exciting team (the Kings) quickly bowed out, and they really were in the most boring series in the opening round.

How the hell do they even have cans, especially given the rep there?

Surprised everything isn't in plastic bottles or cups

Can still be an asshole but at least a poorly-armed, less-dangerous asshole
