Not rooting for SJ in this series, but I get no satisfaction if the team the Kings lose to goes on to win the Cup. Or even puts up a fight in the following series. I don't buy the Knights conspiracies, or that they were handed a great team, or whatever else. I am done with their story though. It's enough. It can end in a thud, or quietly, either way. Hopefully Nas/Wpg destroys whoever wins.

I don't know, I'd like to believe that the Kings weren't as bad as they looked in that series vs VGK. I'm very interested to see how the next series turns out...if SJ wins, I'm really gonna be perplexed over what the f*** is wrong with our team.

Not sure how you can say the Kings looked bad? they lost 2, 1-0 games and sent the other 2 to OT... we had our chances but just couldn't capitalize period!
What/who looked bad was the suspension on DD, Amart wobbling like Bambi all over the ice, the inability of our depth players to carry the puck out of the zone, having to play Fantenberg, and Gravel (tho Fats looked good), and of course they Knights bullied the Kings with their physical play... We're missing the physicality, nasty and intimidating factors that guys like Willie Mitchell, Rob Scuderi and Robyn Regher brought to this team when the won the cups, heck even young Muzz and Voynov we're very physical and we miss that. A lot of people here harp on Forbort but he sure could have been useful in clearing the net and blocking those shots, his presence was truly missed.

I legit can't believe Nick Ritchie went 10th overall. Dude is ****ing trash.

He's a bit more talented Kyle Clifford and they drafted him 10th overall.

I am so unimpressed every time I see him play.

mediocre hockey IQ and he just throws big hits.

The guy is such trash. Wow.
Yeah, Murray swung at a pitch in the dirt on that pick.

I may be wrong but I think San Jose has the speed to lay the body on Vegas more often and disrupt their game. San Jose's forecheck is going to be the key to the series.

Usually never as good or as bad as you look at any given time.

In that 4 game sample size, every issue they had all season came to the forefront. The home record against the West. The scoring. The soft goals against. The disjointed play in all zones.

Then nothing that went right for the team this year ever presented itself, other than Quick. Kopitar didn't produce at his MVP candidate level. Brown had nothing. Doughty didn't get much done. Even Carter being back did nothing.

Not sure I agree. Ritchie is still a regular bottom 6 forward. Top 10 in games played in his draft class.

He might not be a top 6 power forward like Benn, but getting NHL regulars is the goal of the draft. A disappointment, sure, but there are far worse picks.

I would make a lousy disciplinarian. Nothing for Kucherov. Looked bad, but told head wasn’t main point of contact.

That's what wrong with the NHL Safety Office, no consistency. I saw that hit and disagree. If Kucherov was a 4th line pylon I bet they would not have an issue suspending him.

Man, that's so close for me, yea, it looks like the same hit, but on the other hand it looks like Kucherov got much more body than Doughty did, and I think that was the argument we used, Doughty had lined up more body but mistimed etc, here, Kucherov actually catches more body

I agree that ultimately, more force from Doughty's hit went to Carrier's head, but the difference between the two hits isn't "no discipline" and "1 game suspension."

Doughty should have been fined, at worst.

Nashville’s Ryan Hartman will have a hearing today for an illegal check to the head on Colorado’s Carl Soderberg.

That was an awful hit and he's looking right at Soderberg and waffles him. There's been too many undisciplined hits in these playoffs so far. The coaches have to make these guys, esp the younger ones, understand the ramifications of that.

Even Mike Milbury was flabbergasted by the Doughty suspension and said if that is worthy of a suspension, then Kucherov should be suspended as well.

Parros has set a new standard for the Department of Player Safety. They are completely inconsistent and have no idea what truly constitutes for a legal or illegal hit.

Not just "no discipline," "no hearing"

I'm f***ing done with this league for the year.

blatant, hard crosscheck to the head only gets 1 game too

like these are completely different stratospheres of violence

Have to admit, this is hilarious.

personally i'm sick and tired of the "dig up every thing every person has ever said on social media to mock them" trend we started with trump

i'm sure most of these people have said something outrageously stupid themselves but are somehow qualified to judge others

Kings lost because they sucked, but the Doughty suspension was purely to help Vegas along. Here is proof with the Kucherov decision.

If Doughty hits a Duck or Shark like that, there would not have been a suspension.
just some good ole tough western conference hitting
