The teams the Kings have been chasing keep managing to win pivotal games and beat opponents they should beat. They're the polar opposite of these Kings, the suckiest sucks that ever sucked.

Someone on LAKI just said Nashville is 9-1-1, St. Louis 10-1-1, and Calgary 14-3 in their last however many games. That's pretty incredible. Even if the Kings somehow managed to go 7-3 they still would've lost ground (well, depends on who they beat head-to-head, etc). That is absolutely insane.

Jordan Weal is getting comfortable with every game, you can see his confidence growing with every shift. Scored the game tying goal with about 6 min left, his 6th goal in the last 14 games, just missed scoring on a 2-1 in OT and then got the only shootout goal for either side as the GWG . He's 2-2 in S/O's this year
Really wish he'd been up here all year. But that's water under the bridge. He's here now and a big part of their future. So fast and confident , has a real nose for the net.

Weal would have had no chance under Sutter. Not the right fit. I'm glad he's getting a chance with an Eastern conference team. Hakstol seems to like and trust Weal, put him 1st in the shootout and plays him in the Top 6, but the fans on HF are largely complaining that Weal's ruining their draft position. Weal's fighting hard for a contract. I'm liking that Gudas immediately engaged after Weal got hit. We need more of that vinegar here.

Just lose!

I've been finding the battle for the final wildcard spot in the Eastern Conference more compelling than the battle for the final Western Conference wildcard spot.

I was thinking why is Tkachuk commenting on it now and then I read the article and found out we have a game tonight. :help:

Edit: DD and Iggy both declined media requests in the morning.

Best comment from Tkachuk is that "no one did anything about it." Wow, team with Clifford, Nolan, Andreoff, McNabb and Iginla did NOTHING.

We have one of the tougher teams on paper and we folded when our best D was cold shouldered by this punk. And now he is rubbing it in our face.

I wouldn't mind a good ol' brawl. Wonder if it will happen in the last game against Anaheim.

Probably nothing. Get through the game, don't get any 7 or 8 month long injuries.

Of Pacific division teams, the Kings have the worst record against Pacific division teams. They've been getting their face rubbed in it all year long.

The season is over. These guys should be lining up to fight this guy tonight.

Make him answer the bell 2 or 3 times. Who cares if they get instigator penalties.

Should also hit Monahan and Gaudreau every time they touch the puck, and get chippy with them.

Team is gutless, been so since 2014/15.

Real leadership left the team long ago. Quick is the last guy left with a spine.

Brown doesn't care anymore, guy just puts his work boot on and departs once the game is over.

Kopitar is not "C" material, (personal opinion)

Matt Greene is pretty much medically retired.

Well, plenty of youngsters are up and playing. I don't know if Brodz is a tough customer or not, but I'm a fan of any player stepping up tonight.

It's true Brown's enthusiasm has dropped substantially. Back in the day he would be looking for the big open ice hit on any Calgary player tonight. I'm not expecting it now though.
