Yep. 4-1 Blues, 3-0 Flames so far.

****.

I think it was more than that actually. They had a 12 point lead around Jan-Feb I believe. It was a royal collapse. That's why Dean stared right through Bob when poor old Bob tried to suggest that the Kings had a good season last year.

A 12 point lead...yikes. And how fitting is it that the royal collapse was capped off by the Sharks abusing the Kings?

Wasting a lot of energy worrying about what other teams are doing. This team made their bed already. Pearson will probably get down to scratch with the extra time golfing this year.:golfnana:

That right there should've ended Sutter coaching tenure. He checked out after game 4, and was already back on the farm. But hey, loyalty right?

It is like other teams want to give the Kings hope just to rip it away

So in 2010 the Kings drafted Forbort, Toffoli, Weal, Gravel. They had 5 picks. That's looking really friggin good right now.

Absolutely an amazing draft it's looking like, KP. And we've seen relatively very little from Gravel, but he's a stud. Ceiling is absolutely a top 4 D. I think Forbort is already nearly there.

Forbort, Gravel, and LaDue all have high ceilings as well as high floors. We are a defensive juggernaut.

From Friedman's 30 Thoughts, re: the forever long game in Norway:

"What stood out most about the experience? “It’s hard to describe, you’re just trying to survive at that point. A lot of fruit was available, bread…peanut batter and jam, protein bars, sports drinks. But by the fifth overtime, I needed more. I ate three slices of pizza. I never do that. Ever.” "

Big stick tap to the BOlts, who I just about wrote off a month or so ago they were so far back, due to injuries plaguing them most of the year and other stuff. They trade away 2 veteran centers and lost Johnson (and a couple others) to injury recently, Brayden Point (who?) is their number 1 center and they have 3 W's in a row (rags, wild and cats) and are 6-1-1 in their last 8 and 1 pt out of the last WC in the EC. Big game for them tonight vs the Sens. Hedman has been a total beast, so much to love about his game. Stralman's been good for them as well. Kucherov , 20 pts in this last 10 games, money player!

Watching the BJ's take out the Flyers last night, I was thinking on how great it is for them that they have Jones and Werenski as their #1 pair, both young ,skilled and top 10 picks, hopefully for years to come. They are a good young team and if Bob stays healthy, should have a decent run. And their is bad blood with the Pens and they usually give them fits. Dubinsky drives Crosby nuts, should be a fun series if they make it there.

Shame for Aaron Eckblad- only 21 and his 3rd concussion, that's a real concern. He is such a good and mature defenseman for his age. Hopefully he recovers but 3 in such a short time isn't good. Skinner had 3 too but he seems better this year, it can't be easy.

Watched a bit of the Canes game and they not only have Faulk an Hanafin but Slavin is shaping up to be a really good young d. Pesce added gives them a good forsome. They need a #1 center and a goalie. But they have a good group of skaters.

I can't imagine 8 overtimes, that's surreal. How did they even skate? Your legs would feel like lead spaghetti...props to both teams. An 8 and 1/2 hour game...just doesn't seem possible.

Even in the best shape of my life playing 4 games in one day would just about kill me for a few days after. I cannot even imagine what it's like to do that continuously. I thought it was a nice side-story to hear from him because you kind of forget that THAT much time passing means you're skipping MEALS, lol. Had to have three slices of pizza DURING the game? Unreal.

Keith Jones, who was on the ice when the Flyers beat the Pens in a 2000 playoff game in the 5th overtime (and 8 more min would have been 6) said they not only ate the protein bars but all the post game food they'd ordered, including all the pizza and lots of water and fruit drinks.
Brian Boucher was in goal that night and said he lost so much water when he went to kick his legs to make a save, they 'swooshed' because his boots were water logged.
I stayed to 245 am to watch that game (and had work the next morning) they'd show the fans who were still there, a lot of them were asleep. And the concessions ran out of stuff as well.

That's amazing  was that the Keith Primeau goal one?

Oilers lead Dallas 2-0. The Oilers aren't going to play well below .500 hockey the rest of the season. Do we really think the Kings will sweep 3 games from Edmonton?
