'Ducks defenseman Josh Manson was fined for making an inappropriate gesture toward Toronto forward Nazem Kadri on Thursday night.

Manson made a throat-slashing gesture at Kadri after Kadri was penalized for boarding Manson at the end boards in the third period of a 6-5 overtime loss in Toronto. Manson was fined $2,486.56, the NHL announced. "

Ducks organ"eye"zation keeping it classy as usual.

I don't know. Pietrangelo is paid like a first pairing guy and just can't seem to elevate his game in the playoffs. Not to mention he gets pushed around by softies like Kinger. I love Kinger but he's more likely to smother someone with a hug then a check.

It's Kadri. I have no problem with this.

I will admit that I was pushing hard for Pietrangelo IF the Kings pick dropped to 3rd. I thought he was an overlooked player due to illness (mono) his draft year.

Glad that never happened but there are worse guys out there
 
That would just be the cat's arse if we found a way to pickup Bogosian.

Then that dream would be made for all of us who argued on who to take with our first round picks of 'Doughty - Bogosian - Schenn' back in the day.
 
I wonder if Sutter is disgusted watching the TB/NYI game. The gaps in the defense are comical....

Oiler fan here.

Doughty>Karlsson imo.

I hate playing against him, but Doughty doesn't get nearly the amount of respect he deserves league wide. He's probably the best defenseman in the NHL imo.

I appreciate that. I'm hoping he can give McDavid fits for many years, because he's a special player!

I'm even okay if people prefer Karlsson over Doughty, if they just want to admit they prefer offense over defense. Or they like his style of play. To me, it's just BS that the favor of moderation Karlsson gets over Doughty isn't subtle.

As for individuals, people just apply the logic/arguments to support their own agenda, but don't apply it the opposite way.

Oh well. I have so many things going on anyway that I hardly even bother with the main board, but it's definitely done its fair share to make me want to stay away.

Trust me, I know all too well. As an Oiler fan, I know first hand what that's like. It really is nonsense though, Doughty deserves more discussion for what he does.

That's the mainboard in a nutshell. Hell, just watching Sharks fans the last two days has been a massive headache in that regard. I really hope you guys take them on in the first round and pound the living **** out of them before tossing them out of the playoffs on their *****. Sharks fans have made a lot of my fellow fans hate their team with a passion the last few days.

I hear that. I used to post a lot there, but I don't any more. It's beyond frustrating to see a ton of flaming, and trolling go on while you get nabbed constantly for relatively benign posts.

Hudson Fasching is making his NHL debut for the Sabres against the Jets

EDIT: And he gets his first goal. He's going to be a damn good player for them. Wish there was a way we could've kept him.

McNabb was acquired because Dean had a hole in one of his boxes with the disappointing development of Forbort, sadly McNabb has been a disappointment also.
 
McNabb is fine-to-good, just not as a #2 dman. Edit: and imagine our d-core without him :laugh:

Happy for Fasching, easy guy to root for, and his first goal looked exactly like I suspected it would, just being too strong on the puck and bulling to the net.

Dear goodness I hope Fasching don't amount to anything just please don't. We have to live with that trade forever if he becomes a pretty good player. While we're stuck with McTerrible for another year at least. :cry:
 
Fasching is going to be a player and a good one, better get used to the idea right now.

Fasching and Deslauriers for McNabb and picks that became Cernak and Lintuniemi looks absolutely fine to me. Edit: or did one go for Gaborik? forget

I've ragged on McNabb as hard as anyone this year but it's clear he was just miscast as a #2 rather than an actually terrible d-man.
