Who would have thought the Ducks wouldn't average 3.5 GPG the rest of the regular season and into the playoffs? (As they did for 2 months from christmas to a couple weeks ago)

Yah the offense has dried up a bit.. As was expected.. It happens to every team.. Whoever thought this would continue for the rest of season, is not educated in hockey. You guys are starting to pick it up....

It IS impressive.

IT's impressive to be PPG as a d-man.

It's equally impressive to completely neutralize that by being on pace for the most 5v5 goals against in the modern era by 10.

Shayne Gostisbehere has more goals and points in 51 games than Dustin Brown is on pace for over 82 games.

Just saw Ehrhoff's goal. What a tip!

Totally agree. Before it was okay, but now even when they play decent rock songs or whatever, they have to use some stupid remixed version.

It's like they're perpetually stuck in the late 90's to early 2000's.

funny how situations reverse, Scuds was AHL bound for the Hawks and now he's top pairing for us. Meanwhile in Chicago, people seem to like Ehrhoff in their top 4 over their other guys...if that's actually a good idea or not I have don't know, but I think I'm pretty happy with Scuds back.

Error-hoff is completely finished.

Scuderi might be Bernie Lomax with Drew making him look alive, Ehrhoff is already buried in the ground.

It's over 100 degrees in Texas, and I'm hot. When I'm hot, I sweat. Once, I dust off one of my short suits for a trip to LA. And I walk on the team plane, to a seat in the back. I know it's going to take everyone a minute to get used to until it actually sticks -- I look great, by the way.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

caps

I wouldn't give that turd a dime. I'd sooner throw an equivalent amount in a hole in the ground.

Today I learned that Karlsson does not have any issues defensively, he just has had back luck with on ice save percentage for three years running.

So that's good news! Brown is still actually a 60 point player, it's just bad luck and will come around again soon!

It really is astonishing that they actually believe such ridiculous things.

On the ice for 30 minutes a game

Team has worst GA/60 in the NHL

GA is higher when EK is on the ice than when he's off the ice

But he's somehow great defensively.

Like, how do you look at those things and then come to that conclusion? Is it just intentional ignorance maybe?

I think it's nuts, but I'd have less of an issue with that line of thinking if it wasn't hypocritical on the flipside. Tsanuri pointed it out best--EK's offensive success is apparently independent of/in spite of the teams offensive abilities and loose play but his defensive lack of success is not his fault because of the team. So, when EK succeeds offensively it's on his own, but when he fails defensively, it's because of his teammates; but when Doughty succeeds defensively, it's because of the team, and he just can't score. It's inconsistent which is what drives me batty. No matter how much evidence is presented.

The fun part and the reason I keep participating though is that they literally keep giving me more things to find!

A'ight, this just came to mind...

So let's say Lucic was traded to the Ducks instead of the Kings, and likewise Kesler went to the Kings instead of the Ducks. How would this have affected the two teams this season (or last season, if you want to consider that)?

Both players would have success, they're equal fits in both system, but the Ducks would have a serious problem matching up with us down the middle. That also means we likely don't trade for Vinny though.

It makes me sick just thinking of that piece of crap on the kings....

Lecavalier won't be a King...

All that matters now is the playoffs.
Chicago last year was playing 500 hockey right before the playoffs started. All California teams will be in and will be hard to play against.
While it would be nice to win a division/conference title, it is not what we brag about. If the Ducks or Sharks don't win another regular season game and still get in (and they would) they are both good teams that have a chance to win it all. Now don't get me wrong, I hope the Kings crush them, but I expect a California team to be playing for the Cup this year

Disgusting.

I really want a Sharks/Ducks match up now. Just so one there's a 100% chance one will be out in the first round. :)
