You missed one. Being on the ice for every goal that's scored means your great at offense.
Offense is played in a vacuum but defense is a team.

It's easy to continue to participate when only a couple of people are properly equipped to have a proper debate. I do have a healthy respect for a few of those posters who have pulled me into new ways of looking at things, but the continual LMFAOOOOOOOs in response to legit points are just people dunce-capping themselves so it's all gravy for me.
From the Sedins and Karlsson himself:
""When we play them I watch him, and when we don’t play them I still watch him,” said Karlsson.
Karlsson believes Doughty could produce like him if he wanted. Doughty has 33 points in 51 games this season, though his production at five-on-five is 70th among defensemen with at least 750 minutes. Offense has never been his focus.
"Obviously I want to jump into the rush and play offense as much as I can too, but the No. 1 priority is shutting down the other team’s best players, and I take a lot of pride doing that,” Doughty said."

you can tell too, Doughty loves drawing hard matchups and shutting them down - maybe even more than scoring. It's rarer to find in the NHL I think because of the nature of the game, but it reminds me a LOT of premier defenders/defenses in the NFL who just relish the opportunity to shutdown the best of the best - and will let you know it too (we all know DD loves to talk ****). It's just a different mentality, really cool to see that in him tbh.
These guys keep giving me different bullets to shoot them with.
I'm out for dinner and drinks and a Ducks/Rangers game, see you guys tonight!
I didn't like the Scuderi trade, but he seems to be playing way more important minutes and doing OK with them, though a lot of credit has to go to Doughty. Ehrhoff on the other hand is on the bottom pairing and will probably be a healthy scratch after today.
Oh for sure, that's a GREAT comparison. Doughty is Josh Norman confirmed
I noticed that the other night, he was finding ways to close on Panarin over and over and over and you saw when he went for hte Kill on Kane
I love it. And I'm a defenseman so I love it extra much.

Hawks lose 4 straight tonight after their loss to the Flyers. Nice tip by Ehrhoff on Gudas' shot for the go ahead goal and Neuvirth with some late clutch saves.
Ehrhoff continues to cost his team two points.
And man, Perry is so good. Nice pickpocket to setup McGinn.
Gibson looks like he's still gotta work on the mental side a bit
Iron mind before he gets scored on, scrambly after
Edit: speaking of mental side, you could see the exact moment Getzlaf was going to blow a gasket after boyle hugged him way up here
Oilers 4-5 on the pp were up 5-2 at one point. Blues have comeback to make it 5-4.
My god, the NHL Network is making the pass from Giroux to Schenn as the greatest thing ever seen. Pump the breaks guys, it was a really good pass that lead to a goal, but not enough to spend 5 min talking about it.
Today I learned that Karlsson does not have any issues defensively, he just has had back luck with on ice save percentage for three years running.
So that's good news! Brown is still actually a 60 point player, it's just bad luck and will come around again soon!

The Drew Doughty precedent from last year could help Erik Karlsson win the Norris Trophy this year. My TSN.ca blog.
