Hawks didn't do crap for two years as well.

They got a bit lucky with Panarin's emergence. If they don't sign him, they probably miss the playoffs.
 
We'd have never gotten that call in our series so late in the game.

And that's how you score a playoff pp goal. Down low, wait for the open man in the slot, and put it on net[not high and wide].

This game is reminding me of how antiquated some members of the Kings' personnel are.

I still can't get over how Versteeg never ended up on the top line when he looked great up there before getting injured.

May be time for Sutter to go. He has a specific system that we've obviously had success with, but that system may only work with a specific cast of characters.

Toffoli hasn't been the same since he got his bell rung a few games before the playoffs.

Honestly this team is one D-man short, having Marty go out was a huge blow, Brown needs to go or at the very least get the C stripped from him. Lucic I want nothing of, DL made a trade and it didn't work imo, hes not impact enough to warrant the contract he'll want. Sadly I think we need a new head coach, like it or not were going to need to play younger players, Sutter works good with a lunch pale crew but not with baby faces, no reason that Gravel shouldn't have gotten more playing time during the season, he couldn't have been any worse than Scuds.

Lastly I cant fault DL for trying to plug holes with Sekera and Lucic but I look at as we could have drafted young talent or packaged both of those 1sts for a good young player like Harmonic or a younger skilled winger, not a power forward. Completely plug one hole permanently and try to work something out for the other, instead we have two holes, with Lucic probably gone and still one #4 D-man short.

Either way it will be a LONG off season.

While he did make a huge mistake the real architecht in Chicago is Dale Tallon, who either drafted/signed them as GM or was in-house when they were drafted.

The thing is, a lot of moves don't happen if the Voynov situation never occurred. The Kings likely make the playoffs last season, the Kings never trade for Sekera (and instead potentially boost their forward group), the Kings don't sign Ehrhoff, the Kings never trade for Scuderi, etc.

Dallas minnesota is surprisingly fun. Wish we could have gotten a piece of dallas.

Enter the third with a 4-0 lead, Minny comes roaring back, now 5-4 dallas with 4 to play. Pominville just got rewarded with a goal for being soft and standing beside the net behind the goal line :laugh:

I'd go as far as saying we'd have made the playoffs last year, and kept our 1st rounder too. As long as neither SJ or the Ducks raise the cup, I'm cool with who ever does it. So go Caps!
 
So that's how you score with the goalie pulled. Amazing what you can do when you get the puck into the zone. NYI tie it up and going to OT.

To be fair, there was a CLEAR tripping non-call against NY that would have negated the win entirely, so while I'm happy for Tavares, the Panthers got jobbed.
