The first 4 teams out of the playoffs might be a team that made the playoffs for 25 straight years, a recent 2 time champ, a team that has gone to at least the conference final in the previous 3 years, and a recent 3 time champ.

I wonder if we could've beaten Nashville, or would've we gone done in flames too?

Given how they played in the entirety of the 1st round, there's no way they beat any Western Conference team currently in the playoffs.

The Kings seemed to lack any emotion, intensity, grit, etc. There was no moment in the playoffs where I felt the Kings controlled the pace of the game or established their brand of hockey.

They were checked out and looked like they were disinterested; they were apathetic, and they were like that since March. They resembled the lethargic team we witnessed in 2014-15.

I think a team like St. Louis or Anaheim would absolutely slaughter the Kings if they met, much like what we witnessed from their meetings in the regular season.

This just opens the door for Anaheim.

And that falls on both the players and coaches as well. I always hated hearing Sutter talk how the division or conference title doesn't matter, only getting in .Once they clinched a spot, everything changed. To me he's basically gave the guys a pass the rest of the season to play loose and let bad habits sneak in. And they did. He never kept them motivated to finish the season out strong, and it didn't help that he decided to mess with the lines just to see what would happen during the final 10 either.

Dean Lombardi should take notes from the Blackhawks GM. For six years they have been a legitimate cup contender. We were contenders for three years and are now on a sharp decline. Amazing.

Blues sat back and the Hawks have scored 3.

Hitchock has to get canned if they blow this series.

Chicago has dominated the second period this whole series. Going into tonight 7/12 goals in the second. Where St Louis had only scored 3.
But St Louis has been just as dominate in the 3rd.
