Debating which championship was better is something I never thought I would experience as a long time Kings fan.

2014 and it's not even close. For me at least.

well

heres how i break it down

2012 was the first, and that high you felt with the way the Kings just absolutely destroyed every team they faced was amazing

Jonathan Quick was the best goalie in the world and Anze Kopitar could do anything, hell even the Captain was tied for the most points in the playoffs. It was just surreal

but then 2014, where we had to hope they could dig themselves out of the trenches every time. How will they win four in a row, how will they beat the greatest goalie in history John Gibson? how will they beat THE BLACKHAWKS? but then it was kind of deflating with the Rangers because we knew it would be an easy victory and then it was (though 3 2OTs)

overall i'd say the high was much higher in 2012 but that rewarding feeling you felt in 2014 was one we may never feel again as sports fans

Gotta admit though, when Martinez scored that goal right in front of me (section 112, row 8, seat 5) Staples erupted into a volcano. Thought all the walls were going to come down right there. Total pandemonium.

****ing awesome.

Btw, Erik Karlsson is playing a robust 32 seconds per-night on the PK this year ... #norris

We can go on and on and on about this guy. Grant it he is the best OFFENSIVE D-man but NORRIS! TWICE! We've all said enough it's become !

2012 was like A New Hope. It was a new and great experience, but 2014 was like The Empire Strikes Back. It was a more entertaining run on its own.

Hopefully 2016 is Return Of The Jedi.

Not bad not bad at all. Because indeed the first two was absolutely PERFECTION! Now lets just imagine if we can just get one more for the TRILOGY my goodness I don't know if I'll ever be able to contain myself. Might just have to go Canuck Fans on this town. (I kid, I kid)

I enjoyed the ride that was 2012, it was a huge relief to see them take commanding leads and I took great satisfaction in the way they dispatched the Canucks and Blues.

2014 was legendary and a Cup run that may not be matched. Three game 7 wins on the road, coming back from the 0-3 deficit, and winning three OT games during the Stanley Cup Final. It was like an epic journey.

It's still a bit surreal to me that we can have this discussion now, as opposed to the conversations we were having in previous years when we speculate where the likes of Yanick Lehoux or Tomas Vlasak or Jaroslav Bednar would be in the lineup.

Can't forget the Chris Snell's, Rob Cowie's, Patrice Tardiff's, Roman Vopat's, John Slaney's, Craig Johnson's.....holy crap someone stop me. But yeah those days were pretty dreadful. I can't believe we have one let alone two. I hope we all as Kings fans will live to see another one or two cups in our lives.

Ducks are much better than they're showing, wish we could have gotten our games vs. them earlier rather than later

Looks like that 1-goal game record wasn't going to be magic forever (different personnel for sure).

And the huge mistake of thinking Bieska could replace Francois Beauchemin , who was very good for them ,esp in the those 1 goal games. They miss him.

Clearly we are all bandwagoners who just discovered the Kings back when they were the laughingstock of the NHL. I mean, who could forget back when the Kings would have dress rehearsals for left wings to try next to Gretzky, including the likes of Dan Currie, Dixon Ward and Randy Burridge.

Funny thing is, there were similar discussions taking place when the Kings had Ethan Moreau and Trent Hunter in the lineup, heh.

Bieksa has been one of the most overrated dmen in the NHL, all because of a couple of 40+ point seasons. He's so fragile, both mentally and physically, undisciplined, taking selfish penalties quite often. In other words, a perfect fit for the Ducks.

2014 was a more exciting run in and of itself, but it doesn't compare to getting that first Cup for me.

I'll never get tired of seeing that. Just watched it three times and got chills on each viewing.

And we are all thankful for that... LOL!

:laugh:Don't get started Ziggy my goodness talk about the dark days of kings Hockey. Yiiiikes these names make me wanna jump off a cliff. Ooooh yeah we've had some beauties alrite...who can forget the likes of Jeff Shevalier, Brent Grieve, Brad Smyth, Nathan Lafayette.

Ziggy I always get the impression you like to revel in the dark years...you remember names that I forgot long ago. Holy cow, I don't even remember the dark days!

Good times for Kings hockey. Going for no. 7 in a row on Saturday.

I got the experience the ultimate high and low when I started watching the Kings from when they acquired Gretzky and the '93 Cup run to getting washed up Oilers like Grant Fuhr and Petr Klima.

Sadly, I actually got excited and had high hopes that Klima would find his groove in LA seeing how I was used to seeing him always score against the Kings. He lasted 8 games as a King, LOL.

Another King I got excited about before I realized he was way over the hill was Neal Broten. The Kings sure knew when the pick up players back then, when they were on the wrong side of 30. Bless you "Disaster" McMaster.

Cogliono didn't need to try to dig the puck out after the whistle was called.

Is Pherry's douchieness catching like his mumps?

Speaking of, he got hit twice by the puck in the same sequence. lolol
