Around the League '15-'16: New Years Edition

Subban is an awesome player, but his celebrations are so ridiculous and over the top. It's so grating seeing these productions after every goal.

I'd be so embarrassed if someone on the Kings acted like that after a goal.

Especially one from center ice. That was a lucky goal and he knew it, but still had to showboat afterwards. Even his teammates were trying to get him to tone it down. He'd get an earful from somebody if he pulled that crap as a King.:shakehead

I dunno if I would full on call it lucky... I've seen plenty of amature players who sit on the ice and practice hitting the crossbar or top corners from out past the blue line. Granted that is practice... But the point is even random local amateurs will sit and practice nearly that shot over and over again. The number of times Suban has made that shot must be absolutely insane. I'm sure by lucky you mean not likely to get through AND beat the goalie... but even there you look up and see a goalie who doesn't seem prepared enough, and a lane to the the net and give it a try... I am not calling that luck.

HOWEVER

You just ****ing scored man. Unless the other guy went full vancouver sun... I'm not hearing much **** an opponent is trying to talk after I just ripped a shot like that past their goalie to tie a game. Maybe if THEY scored then skated by chirping you, it will make you mad. But when YOU just handle **** and they want to chirp? Smile and wave.

Exactly. Just using it as a general term, because 9/10 times he stopping that.

not sure about Bargain for the next year or two, but after that absolutely.
They will have a ton of cap space with Campbell and Mitchell coming off the books. I think they try and re-sing both, but I doubt they will cost as much as they do this year.
Thanks to Vancouver they have a legit #1 for less than $5M a year.
And versteeg's buyout comes off the books.
Maybe Stmakos stays in state? (I joke because Florida is already loaded down the middle)

I'm guessing EK is leading, followed by OEL, with Lidstrom a distant third. No other nominees with more than 3 votes.

Edit: I....am pleasantly surprised. Lidstrom followed by Salming so far! Guess it's too early for the kids ;)

Today was the day I finally realized what a cluster**** the main board has become, after I spotted a thread titled "Rookies 50 games in -- Any generational talents?"

Putting myself on a main board diet for a while. Just not healthy stuff.
 
Twitter just told me that Horcoff may get a lengthy suspension for an off ice issue.
Could happen to a better team.

Just read that too. What a classless organization! I was thinking Dean probably planted something in Horcoff's bag but then I reconsidered cos Horcoff....
