I'd say poor asset management by the Habs. There was discussion earlier this year that the Habs could have probably gotten at the very least a 3rd for Tinordi, now he is traded for waiver fodder.

Hope Elliott didn't get his plane ticket yet...

Doesn't sound like Stefan Elliott will be in MTL long. Flipped already?

That's a fine way to find out...

#canadiens Jarred Tinordi was asked to leave the plane. Trade call ongoing. Multiple sources talks about the Coyotes. #tvasports

They wanted him bad enough in 2010...

Habs packaged own 1st round pick and a 2nd rounder to move up 5 spots and draft Jarred Tinordi in 2010. Team that moved down? The Coyotes.

Odds are probably that that 3rd round pick would end up waiver fodder too. Or, at least no better than Tinordi at this point.

Habs trading Elliott

Pending trade call, NSH sending Victor Bartley to MTL for Stefan Elliott. But not a done deal yet.

That was the draft in LA. Interesting to look at it now. The USNTDP had its deepest defense, with five guys going in the top 2 rounds: Forbort, Tinordi, Faulk, Merrill, and Johns.

Coyotes basically turned Gormley into Elliott into Tinordi.

What? They turned Tinordi into an ASG captain!

So the official trade is Stefan Elliot to Nashville for Vicktor Bartley. Coyotes then trade Bartley and Scott are traded to Montreal for Tinordi. Weird deal.

Looks like either Domi or OEL will take Scott's place

Barry Trotz says Mike Richards could play both games this weekend at Buffalo, home vs. Rangers. #CapitalsTalk

I don't think that is how it works. He'll play in the Pac just as he was selected.

Another player apparently going to Arizona. Dominoes are falling.

edit:Stefan Fournier

I know the Caps have been good this year. And have watched games when I can just because of Williams. But they are now at 80 points percentage. That's 5% above any team in the cap era over a full season. Chicago had over 80% as well in the shortened season.
Can they keep it up over 82 games or how much will they fall off?
