Also I don't have any desire to talk about the Norris anymore but I'm ****ing sick of the rhetoric that even national 'writers' spew as reactionary hyperbole in defense of Karlsson--in this one, the line is "Yeah, yeah, playing defense involves a lot more than scoring points. But you know what? It also involves a lot more than playing defense. If you can’t move the puck after a change of possession, what good are you? If you can’t contribute to the attack, then you’re just standing around half the time." Okay, which one of the top, actual NOrris-caliber defensemen, does this apply to? It doesn't. It's another misleading red herring that keeps getting parroted to suggest that guys like Doughty are similar to Methot, Matt Greene, and other plugs that don't do things with the puck too. I guess Doughty isn't 60% CF% and can't go end to end after a turnover.

You know exactly which fans actually pay attention to the Kings and which ones talk out of their ass by who uses the "Kings benefiting from weak division" BS.

While this is true, it has more to do with the Kings not bringing their "A" game against Pathetic Division teams. The Pacific Division does suck. If it didn't the teams in the division would have better records against teams outside the division.

The Kings would not be sitting in first place right now if either the Ducks or the Sharks could win some games against the Eastern Conference and Central Division clubs.

I think what he's referring to is the idea that the Kings are feasting on the division like the Canucks were on the old NW division. There's a mythology out there that the Kings are actually just as terrible as everyone else in the Pacific but we're just padding our stats vs. the Ducks etc.
 
Boston pulls a Kings and allows five unanswered, all after the 10 minute mark in the 3rd.

Gustavsson won't play again until 2019.
 
Letang is already suffering from concussion that he has taken. You would think Letang wouldn't put himself in these situations.

He did have his head down.
 
Mario would not let any GM trade Crosby. Malkin will be the one shipped out, if any of the two are going to be moved. It's why I suspect that Rutherford is the GM to begin with.

No GM that actually wants to build a team is going to take that Pitt Job. Mario/Crosby handcuffs you.

MTL has lost 10 of 11, knew that team would fold, once the jesus like goalie play out of Price left them.
