He was a shooter tutor tonight. Scrivens in Edmonton bad.

Scrivens played good tonight vs the Cats who took it to the Habs all night, he kept the Habs in the game, down 2-1 until the middle of the 3rd . He made some great saves or it would have been a much higher score than 3-1

And the Panthers are on roll, it shows in every shift. Barkov with 2 more goals...
Jagr with his 131st career GWG.

Calgary has 7 shots on goal on the Ducks 4 minutes into the third. 7.

seven...how is that even possible? You'd think gravity alone would dictate a highter number

Speaking on high numbers...sounds like a barn burner

Sens and Bruins with 82 minutes in penalties In 36 seconds...at the end of the game

http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/senators-bruins-pile-up-82-penalty-minutes-in-36-seconds/

A game which already featured a low-bridge hit, a spear (both by Brad Marchand), and Zdeno Chara manhandling Mark Borowiecki, turned nasty in the final minute as the Boston Bruins and Ottawa Senators piled up the penalty minutes Tuesday night.

With 1:03 remaining, Landon Ferraro fought Max McCormick, in what was just a prelude of the fireworks to come.

Flames end up with 14 SOG.

Very entertaining end. Kesler runs down the puck and shoots it into the empty net, a full 2 seconds after the horn already blasted. Wideman takes exception, and treats Kesler as a punching bag. Getzlaf enters the frame and starts pummeling someone, not sure who.

Hockey. Gotta love it.

Getzlaf grabbed Wideman and started beating the **** out of him. It was nice to see. First time this year he looks like he actually cares. I think Kesler ended up fighting Ferland at the end, not sure. Wideman losing his **** like that is pretty comical.

It is. Kesler shouldn't have done it, but IMO didn't merit Wideman's response. **** that guy. And can't stand the Flames; glad the Ducks snapped their streak.

I admit it is a bit unsportsmanlike but it's basically harmless and trivial. I'm tired of Ferland being represented as this unstoppable tough guy. Heard that crap going into the playoff series last year and he was a complete nonfactor.

I could have swore that I saw Getzlaf spit at the Flames bench after the fight.

That was a weird end. Kesler being typical ******* but wtf, Wideman acting like Kesler shot someone.

Whatever, just glad it didnt go to OT

They just showed a crowd shot of the CHI / ARI game. All Blackhawk fans. No lie.

Yeah, that's a bit of an overreaction for shooting on an empty net. Shooting a goaltender after the whistle deserves a roughing up. An empty net? Not really. Wideman may get disciplined for that.

On another note, I decided to have a look at our stats for Kings defensemen and goals against per 60 5 on 5. Dewey and McNabb with an ungodly 1.49 and 1.38 GAA respectively. Curiosity made me check Ottawa... holy ****, EK at 2.73. By far the worst on his team by .25 GAA. Numbers don't lie on that...

Now those are some scary numbers. Too bad the only thing that seems to matter is scoring not preventing it. :sarcasm:

Yep, and Panthers are in first place now.

Scrivens is a decent goalie. Every goaltender the Oilers throw in net fails, and they can't figure out why.

****ing love the Panthers, I still have my Panthers jersey when I played hockey as a kid (that was our team name). Ekblad, Kulikov, Barkov, Bjugstad, and Huberdeau are all great players to build a team around. Not to mention Mitchell is their captain.

I don't hate seeing Kesler cop a few shots for a silly play, definitely OTT, but I've never liked that guy.

I haven't checked since the other night, but until then, Karlsson was literally on the ice for more goals against than any player in the league. He was lucky Mark Giordano was gracious enough to surpass him, so he's only second-worst there now. And to his credit he's only 208th out of 231 total dmen in goals against per 60 now, so hey.

I don't like Kesler. That's a dick move and he knew exactly what he was doing. That's exactly the sort of clown shoes we despised about him and Bieksa in Vancouver.

But it's complete chicken **** of Wideman to start raining punches on him when he's already engaged. Whoever was tangled up with him first earned the right to do that but they chickened out.

Kesler knew what he was doing and deserved every bit of that response. If he didn't want to get a rise out of the Flames, then don't pull that **** off. Who does that anyway? Only a classless dick who disrespects his opponents.

I agree. But third man in is gutless and almost always wrong. I think it was Brodie in there first, it's his bad for not doing anything about it.
