So I looked at who Detroit plays next and it's Calgary. God, I can't see them doing us any favours. Tomorrow's game is HUGE for Columbus. I'm assuming Detroit wins and Columbus could lose to a good Anaheim team. If that is the case, we would be 2 out on the 8th spot with Detroit still having a game in hand.

As I said, we need to win one in Cali. NEED.. Winning both is best case, but I would be giddy for 3 points.

Maybe he meant win at least 1 of the back to back games.

But out the 3 games, I think we NEED 4 out of 6 at most. Losing to Anaheim is the best case because wins over LA and SJ keeps us in striking distance against those teams. I would be thrilled if they went 3 of 3.
P.S. game, set, match. Wild make it 4-1 to start the 3rd.

The likelihood of making up 5 points on St. Louis in 5 games (6 for STL) is extremely low.

The likelihood of making up 4 points on Minnesota is also extremely low, particularly since they play Edmonton, Calgary, and Colorado in their last five games.

It'll be 8th or nothing for Columbus.

I think we have a shot at catching San Jose if they lose tonight. So catching Det and SJ is possible.

Even if San Jose loses tonight, Columbus would still have 5 games to make up 2 on the Sharks. That would mean not only beating the Sharks head-to-head, but also needing to be one game better while playing Los Angeles, Anaheim, Nashville, and Dallas.

MB, you are correct. It is 8th or nothing. Need at least one tomorrow night while Det gets nothing. That way we are ahead of them with them having a game in hand on us.

Det has lost both games to Calgary this year. But no JBow or Iggy this time.

In my opinion, the race for the playoffs ends this week. The Jackets must play the third, fourth and fifth teams in the conference and based on what I saw in Colorado, this team is running out of steam. I think they will play hard but the pressure is catching up to them

NIce gesture by the Sabres in Boston tonight.... they went on the ice with the Broons and raised their sticks to the Boston fans...

Very rare if ever.., the Sabres have been a Boston rival since the 80's....
