Grapes giving some love to the Jackets on HNIC..............Dalton Prout in particular.............:thumbu:

I jumped on the Prout wagon several weeks ago... If I were GM he would be a 6th spot defenseman next season...

On another note from around the world of non Jacket hockey, I was at the Sabre/Ranger game in Buffalo last night.... freaking worst NHL game I've paid to see in quite some time (from a non Ranger fan perspective)... The Rangers were good but the Sabres were so bad the game was over in the first period... 5 goals in something like 5 minutes spanning the first and second...... Miller was not good but the Rochester call ups didn't help much...

I give Miller somewhat of pass for last night....first three goals by the Rags went off the skates of Buffalo defensemen............

We're kinda Rangers fans in our household now......considering Nash & other Jackets are with them..so we all watched the game last night. Jackets are still our team, but we also enjoy the Rangers & Blackhawks (gotta love speed & skill - nothing supercedes that). Glad you were able to see your Sabres tho............

The Hawks are third on my list, Kane is one reason of course but Joel Quenneville... I got to know him a tad on a personal level at Nationwide when he coached the Blues many years ago... He's a great person and head coach.. one of the best in the league if not the best.

Vancouver hasn't done much of anything to help us out this season, and they usually play like doggie doo vs. Detroit. I'll be shocked if things go our way tonight.

Thanks or the link Jaxs.... I'm one of the few (I guess) that likes the Grape... Not everything he says or stands for but the dude knows hockey...

He loves Prout, that bodes well for the CBJ and me beating Grapes to the punch two weeks ago..;)

No problem. Like him or not, Grapes can stir the pot. He's a shill for anything Boston and good strong kids from Ontario!

Ovechkin with two more tonight for 29 & 30. Guess he's not completely washed up, quite yet.

Great story this season.... the Caps were near the bottom in the East early on in the season.... 30 goals or more in a 48 season would put him on a 50 goal plus 82 game season... great hockey player all around.

Leafs are in.

Yep....

Ottawa might be in touble. Final games are against PITT, WAS, PHI, and Boston.
They needed this game

I really believe when the dust settles the Rangers might be looking at the 7 seed. Which sucks. I would have loved to see the Pens dust em.

Breaking from tradition I want the Jets to win tonight... The Sabres are out and Claude Noel has done well imo, he has come close to earning a playoff spot.... go Jets..

I got to say it I'm pretty amazed that the Sens made it in. They lost their three best players.

Karlsson came back tonight, only ten weeks after his achilles was severed, and assisted both goals for the clinch.

Within reason, injuries should never be used as an excuse... all teams lose key players due to injury...

Winning organizations must have depth to fill the gaps... If any NHL team thinks they are going to go an entire season with their top 24 or so roster they are nuts.... Winning NHL teams these days need 48 guys in their organization who can play at the NHL level.. This is the truth.

I'll be cheering for the Isles tonight to help the rangers end up playing pittsburgh in the first round. I want to see pitts stomp them and for the former blue jackets to continue their playoff never-unbeaten streaks. no one is allowed to have success anywhere else!
