“Tonight we made it too easy on them.
I wish I knew.” “Roll of the dice.”
LAUNCH THIS GUY INTO THE SUN. WHY IS HE STILL EMPLOYED, BARRY? LOSERS OF 7 OUT OF 8 OTs. HAVEN'T EVEN MADE IT TO A SHOOTOUT. WTF???
"Tonight we made it too easy on them," Predators coach Andrew Brunette said. "An elongated shift and then we turned it over three times. I know we're tired, but you wish you could get that back."
Overtime was not a major issue last season for the Predators − they finished 6-5 in the extra period and 3-0 in shootouts. This season they are 1-7 and have yet to participate in a shootout.
When asked for an explanation for this season's struggles, Brunette seemed to chalk it up to bad luck.
"I wish I knew," Brunette said. "If you look at all those games, we've had a chance to put the game away early ... but we don't and then they come down and score. If you looked at all our games last year, it was probably pretty similar, where they had a chance and then we got it back and scored. It's kind of a roll of the dice."
