The league joke that swept the Canadiens this year? That league joke?
Yes I can admit the Habs have a pathetic year this season, one of the worst in their history.

When a look at the standing: 32 MTL... 31 Arizona...

You need to admit Arizona is pathetic too...

And Arizona should go in an other market or change the owner: Houston, Kansas, Quebec... it will never work there and the franchise owner dont put the effort for it.

This thread is still going? 😂

It was a waiver claim on a long shot, nothing to be excited or angry about.
Nope, but be there are a lot of internet cowards who enjoy ruffling feathers without fear of any consequences.

I imagine the Leafs and Coyotes are two of the top targets of those cowards, but unfortunately on this site fans of those teams prefer to add to the coward comments, instead of finding common ground and supporting one another.

Do you think Dubas took an exceptionally long amount of time out of the presser to complain about it? Or that his comments were anything beyond what any other GM would mention? Its nuts the lengths some folks will go to make something so small into a big thing.
Everything about the Leafs is excessive. Good and bad.
Which team? The one that shouldn't even exist, or the other one that has so much money they can't stop falling over it?
Stay classy, 416.

Most on here make me laugh. All the Leaf haters. It's not the end of the world. I'm sure Dubas knew he had to clear waivers but possibly figured he wouldn't be picked up. having said that if the guy was half ass he would of stayed in the league or would have been signed long ago. The guy is 32. Is he better than Mrazek? Maybe we'll see but I don't think he was brought in to take the crease ahead of Campbell or maybe even Mrazek. He was probably brought in to cover for Kallgren who is young inexperienced etc until Jack is healthy.

Wasn’t Woll just injured? I figured it was an AHL depth move that might get a shot with the big boys

It's surprising news that the vast majority of Leafs fans don't watch Winter Olympics like other Canadians tend to do. Or don't follow what goalie moves their team's GM is doing. Are you quite sure you aren't talking out of your ass?

Many Canadians didn't care about hockey at the Olympics once it was decided that NHL players weren't allowed to participate. This situation with Sateri being signed by Toronto and then claimed by Arizona just happened, so Leafs fans would have no reason to know who he was prior to this. It has nothing to do with us not keeping up with what Kyle Dubas is doing. So yes, I'm quite sure I'm not talking out of my ass. Can you say the same though?

I don't like the Leafs, but this is bs. They should close this loophole. Call it a re-entry waiver

Wasn't it because of the Oilers bringing in Reijo Ruotsalainen for the '87 SC run that helped close this up? It was guys coming in from Europe (JF Sauve was another with the Nords who did it that year) without having to clear.

This thread is bizarre. The Coyotes managed to get a team to overpay for Wedgewood (a 3rd if Dallas qualifies for the playoffs) on the same day a goalie that their goaltending coach (Corey Schwab) worked with for half a decade in San Jose (where their AGM John Ferguson Jr also was). He’s known to the staff and highly thought of by trusted members of the brass that know him from personal experience. It’s really a no-brainer from an Arizona perspective and they’re nothing shady or vindictive about any of it.

People are being absolute freaks about this.
