Maybe that could increase fan interest in the Arizona team, leading to greater profit.I was told that when Florida signed Lindbohm it was fair that he could get claimed since it will stop teams from hiding players, pillaging other leagues etc etc etc.
Seems fair to me. Best of luck to clutch Olympic Gold Medalist Sateri in Arizona.

Hari's first game intro
Someone ring?Okay, now now.
Yeah, he can definitely take faceoffs well. Good pickup by us.Someone ring?
BTW… nice pickup of Richardson by the Canucks. Great guy when he was in AZ… hopefully he’s got something left in the tank.
Or he can take it as an opportunity to lift the team into the playoffs in the future seasons, but I highly doubt that's going to happen. What did Dubas expect? If Arizona didn't do it, a divisional team might've claimed him just to screw the leafs, and make sure their current area of weakness doesn't get solved.
But if I'm Sateri, I'm punching the air right now. A non-playoff, bottom 2 franchise (net worth) in the league , with the highest goals against in the western conference, claims him. Kind of a dck move on Coyotes GM part, knowing he was about to go into a favorable playoff position, signing with a top tier franchise that needs goaltending, but steal him anyway and put him in a terrible position, as his inaugural NHL start to his career.
I do fight it quite comical, but also empathetic (for Setari)

He's UFA after this year. He sure as hell can't elevate the Yotes into playoff position this season anymore . He can play well and position himself for a new contract but thats about it. He's stuck in Arizona for this year nowOr he can take it as an opportunity to lift the team into the playoffs in the future seasons, but I highly doubt that's going to happen.
This year is very short isn´t it?He's UFA after this year. He sure as hell can't elevate the Yotes into playoff position this season anymore . He can play well and position himself for a new contract but thats about it. He's stuck in Arizona for this year now
So, as I said earlier, Arizona's trying hard to show they're not tanking with this acquisition. He's UFA after this year. whats weird is the hate we get from teams in the other conference, like we cant play in the playoffs unless we both make it to the Cup Final. It's actually disturbing to see how many posters on this site have such unhealthy obsessions with the Leafs and their fans. The reality is that 99.99% of Leafs fans had never heard of this guy until today, and don't know or care that he got claimed. But this truth is inconvenient, as it gets in the way of the creepy little group fantasy.
There's lots of Leafs fans and lot of them are insufferable.whats weird is the hate we get from teams in the other conference, like we cant play in the playoffs unless we both make it to the Cup Final.
why hate them, makes no sense
they blame it on Leafs getting alot of articles. more than other teams
I find they just reword the same article to generate clicks/money on the most popular teams
I also find news on every team there too
Simpler explanation: Sateri in his current form, on display in the Olympics, has potential to be a NHL backup, and if he showcases well Yotes can flip him for a pick or prospect. No risk, some reward. So, as I said earlier, Arizona's trying hard to show they're not tanking with this acquisition.
It's surprising news that the vast majority of Leafs fans don't watch Winter Olympics like other Canadians tend to do. Or don't follow what goalie moves their team's GM is doing. Are you quite sure you aren't talking out of your ass?The reality is that 99.99% of Leafs fans had never heard of this guy until today
Nah. The Coyotes and goalie coach Schwabb have a long history of taking marginal goalies and helping them find more career success. Or at least turning them into to higher value assets. In the last nine months they've sent off three goalies for assets. But if I'm Sateri, I'm punching the air right now. Ah, he was in the Olympics as well? I didn't watch hockey for two years, so I'm not sure if he was in the Olympics, or if any NHL player was in the Olympics.Simpler explanation: Sateri in his current form, on display in the Olympics, has potential to be a NHL backup, and if he showcases well Yotes can flip him for a pick or prospect. (It's unlikely Toronto would have bothered with the whole process if they only wanted one more AHL goalie.)
A lot of people didn’t really care about the Olympics due to the host country and the lack of NHL players. It's surprising news that the vast majority of Leafs fans don't watch Winter Olympics like other Canadians tend to do. Or don't follow what goalie moves their team's GM is doing. Are you quite sure you aren't talking out of your ass?
