Ha, ha. I googled it, too. Sadly, I have NO idea who Carly Rae Jepsen is.
Nobody does, nobody does. One hit wonder.
Can Montembault be a one hit wonder at best on best?

He was great at the world championships, would be my pick if he's even average in the NHL.
Canadiens’ Sam Montembeault has a serious case to make Canada’s 4 Nations Face-Off and Olympic teams
I'm confident he will be on the team and he will be eased in as the games go on.Watched SJ v Chicago tonight, Bedard has taken his game to another level. Draws 4 man coverage in transition nearly every rush and opens up soooo much space for Foligno and Teravainen.
Perhaps this is just the TSN content machine trying to generate clicks but there have been some suggestions it’s too early for him and he shouldn’t make the team; I would honestly see his omission as a near Crosby in 2006 level mistake, he’s a top 30 (perhaps even higher) player in the league right now with one of the worst rosters around him. Play driving, vision, and deception all at an elite level

What;s the format for that thing anyway?, I'm going to have to go check on that.
That's exactly what it is.LOL. A 4 team exhibition tourney in lieu of the usual February All Star boring crap. The correct answer is does it really matter? It shouldn't be anything more than tryouts for the Olympic team.

You're gonna be real busy then.I haven't even thought about the U20 team yet. I meant the Skodas.

October 17, 2024 :
* Jake Neighbours finally stepping up with his first goal.
* Bedard with 2 assists.
* Sam Reinhart adding to his assist total - 4 Goals and 5 Assists in 6 Games
* Shea Theodore and Mark Stone with a FAST start in Vegas.
* Kent Johnson doing well in Columbus.
* Fantilli with his 2nd Goal.
* Owen Power with his 2nd goal.
* Wyatt Johnston with his 4th assist.
* LAF is PPG+.
* Shane Wright with his first goal and assist.
Negatives :
* LAF disappointing.
* Dylan Cozen with his first point. Come on kid, you can do better.
He sure was frustrating early in his career. Now, we just need to get QB going.Lafreniere is at 5 points in 4 games. I haven't seen the Rangers games myself other than seeing Laf's nice goal against the Pens but I'd say that's a pretty good start anyway. Considering a year ago people thought he was a bust. I didn't, I saw him as a guy still waiting to hit his stride.
Count me as one of those guys who thought he was a bust. I know how he was being used by the rangers but when i watched him play in his first few years aside from glimpses here and there he never showed he was really worthy of being used differently IMO. Glad to see he is proving a lot of people including me were off about him.Lafreniere is at 5 points in 4 games. I've never been his biggest fan, he doesn't push things, too passive with his gifts.He sure was frustrating early in his career. Now, we just need to get QB going.

Having said that, he still isn't what you would call a star yet, but the bust talk days are now dead, I'll take that, he's turned into a real good player.

To me, more impressive as a physical specimen then as a hockey player so far. Still very young though.......maybe he pulls a Tage Thompson here in the next couple of years.
If you ask me, any player from the oilers that was being considered for the team is suspect right now. Now obviously Mcdavid doesn't have to worry but even he needs to pull up his f***ing socks.Zach Hyman with a slow start. If he doesn’t start picking things up, he’ll be left off the roster. Doesn’t have the luxury of a star player to go cold.
Sam Reinhart looking really good even with Barkov out.
Laf looking to take Hyman’s spot
Far too little production from a guy with that much talent. He very much can do better, not sure what his problem is.* Dylan Cozen with his first point. Come on kid, you can do better.
He’s far ahead of where Thompson was at the same age, but I agree, I’ve always been dissapointed by him. For someone who drew draft year comparisons to Malkin and is probably the best skating big forward in the league, he lacks the « bite » and « dawg » to his game that could take him right to the top. Thought he had a bang average 2021 WJC and none of his playoff performances since havé showed that he can perform in high leverage situations like the upcoming tournamentsCount me as one of those guys who thought he was a bust.
