Prospect Info: 2024-25 Ducks Prospects

We traded up for Solberg. He’s higher on the internal list is my guess

That post was from a really long time ago. Current list is something like this for me:

1. Sennecke
2. Luneau
3. Colangelo
4. Solberg
5. Pastujov
6. Pettersson
7. Clara
8. Sidorov
9. Terrance
10. Warren

Our pool has taken a big step back which is understandable considering the players we’ve graduated, but also a bit frustrating that some recent high draft picks aren’t even clear top 10 prospects for us at this point

Colangelo and Pastujov have been nice success stories for us this season

1-8 seems right

9-10, I think there’s prob 5+ choices that make sense.

Personally I’d have tarin smith in top 10. Probably could argue guys like gaucher, masse, mysak, hinds

Where would Helleson have fallen on this list before his NHL call up ?

This coming from somewhere me who thinks our future NHL 4th line is
Myatovic / Gaucher / Caulfield.

And I think this will be a very good 4th line.

I would probably switch colagenlo and Solberg. Otherwise looks good ( list as far as how I think PV sees things )

  1. Sennecke
  2. Luneau
  3. Solberg
  4. Tarin Smith
  5. Colangelo
  6. Clara (Goalies are voodoo. I almost just want to act like they dont exist in terms of prospects)
  7. Pettersson
  8. Masse
  9. Pastujov
  10. Sidorov
Definitely a drop in quality due compared to the last few years. A Cristall or Lardis instead of Myatovic or Pitre would make a big difference.

my thoughts exactly. The Gaucher over Snuggarud and Cristal over Nico forces us to have to trade for or overpay a F

I would have liked to have picked them too but I kind of get the sense that those two would be a bit redundant behind Gauthier and Sennecke anyway

Not to sound like Dirk, but if Verbeek is building for the playoffs I understand the Gaucher pick. I still maintain that if we had Vermette instead of Chicago we win a cup that year. Now whether he ever becomes Vermette type remains to be seen, but I’m not opposed to using a late first on a shut down 3C if he can become that. Myatovic seemed like an odd pick from the get go, but I guess with both we just have to see how it goes.

Although at this point, Gaucher and Myatovic have been exactly as productive at the NHL level as Snuggerud and Cristall.
Ya and Hugh Jessiman had the same amount of NHL points as Getzlaf and Perry in their D+2 also. We all know how that turned out.

I get your point, just saying I think at this point we can agree Gaucher and Myatovic have close to zero top 6 potential while the other 2 have plenty.

I get your point as well, but I think Sennecke and Gauthier have more top 6 potential than Snuggerud and Cristall. I'm willing to wait and see on Gaucher and Myatovic before calling those picks busts.

I talked with my cousin who lives in Seattle this weekend. And he mentioned when he got dogpiled and broke his leg, the T-Birds were down 4-0 with like 4 minutes left in regulation and he scored the game winning goal to win 5-4 in regulation. Only in juniors hahaha.

He just turned 20 …. I am big Gaucher and Myatovic truthers!

“Myatovic stands at 6’3”. Once he fills out his frame with some more muscle, he could become a significant force on the ice. He’s an excellent skater who can play on just about any line and fill any role. He can score a big goal, lay a big hit, get in on the fore-check, play on the penalty kill, play on the powerplay, and even be a defenseman if needed.”

“Nathan Gaucher, standing at 6'3" and weighing 222 pounds, has always been known for his two-way forward capabilities and his ability to agitate opponents with his physical style of play.”
