Lmao, this is funnier to read after the fact he single handedly blew the Rangers game. Talk about karma.
I agree with the Canes poster, Kochetkov was electric the last time the Devils played them. If he were dealing like that, i’d argue most of the teams in the NHL would have been beaten.

Kochetkov is really good, he’s been banged up a bit lately, that’s probably got more to do with the Rangers game than karma.

Enjoy this hot streak Hurricanes fans, lord knows we had a blast when the Devils were winning every game

Well duh man, but the fact he said that and then Kochetkov completely wilted against the Rangers makes that post funny. How do we know he doesn't have that game against NJ? There was probably a chance considering the Devils offense was struggling in December and how good Kochetkov, regression is a thing.

Crazy that they are still 2nd in their division, when they have 3 wins, 9 losses in their last 12 games.
Lots of cross games where their opponents have also lost, #lucky.
other teams losing games is devils being lucky. devils winning games is luck. other teams winning games is them playing well. devils losing games is them playing up to their capabilities.

all make sense in georgeleafer's world.

They probably had their most unlucky loss of the season last night lol

The Metro is such a bloodbath, it’s wild. If they were in the Atlantic and got to beat up on five bad teams instead of two, there’s a much different shine to the team.

They’re starting to get healthier up front, Bastian should be back soon along with Palat returning. Hopefully that gets the secondary scoring going that they early in the season. Need to pick it up, though.

Both divisions are great with the metro having the best team and the Atlantic having Boston which at this point is essentially a guaranteed loss.

Ruff needs to stop forcing Haula and McLeod because FACEOFFS!!!

They also need to shakeup the D pairings as Siegenthaler has fallen off since his hot start. We all know Hamilton is an adventure, so maybe put him with Graves to settle down their game.

Goaltending is still a major issue for this club. Vanecek can only do so much on his own.

if they do poorly on the upcoming western swing, I'm sure they will miss the playoffs. Basically catching the Buffalo malaise, that magical November being a distant memory.

It wouldve been impossible for them to keep up the pace they were on earlier in the year. I’ve been saying it to a lot of my friends all year they are young and a little inexperienced. Bright future for this devils team but not sure they are a top team in the league yet. Give them some playoff experience this year and they’re off to being a contender and right in the mix in the metro.

I think they are sitting pretty right now. If you look at the standings, it'd take a collapse unheard of to let Pittsburgh, Islanders or any other Atlantic WC to catch them. And none of those times inspire much confidence themselves.

If it works don't fix it!

There are really no weak lines who are playing <50% losing hockey:

In general, I would NOT touch an elite line that has >65% goals%.
