However, and I truly feel like this will be above all a very objective point:

The Tkachuk brothers are Nico's bitch.

I'm happy they beat the Panthers, but they are definitely coming back to earth. Still a top 10 team, but probably not a top 3/5 team.

I mean during their 6 game skid they posted a 906 PDO in all situations. That's unsustainably low. They were still outshooting their opponents like a top 5 team.

People don't watch the games, they played two bad games in the L6. They deserved something out of the Rangers/Stars/Flyers/Canes games.

From the losing streak until now NJ has outshot their opponents by a combined +50, out Corsi'd them by +90, and have outchanced opponents by +30.

They are fine, goaltending and special teams have regressed a bit but they're still playing well enough to win games. People keep forgetting how young this team is.

What are you even trying to accomplish here? Nico is one of the cleanest players in the game. The league agreed it was not intentional hence no further fine/suspension. It was a quick play after a faceoff. Nothing points to it being an intentional play.

Do you even have an actual argument why you think it was intentional? If not stop stirring shit.

Quite a bit off-topic but ever since i joined this site, pretty much no Devils fans were posting anything, then came Hughes draft and few of them popped out of their hide. Followed by one hot start and all of sudden they were in everywhere talking about how great they’re and acting arrogant, like where were 80% of you when the team struggled?

Fun team to watch tho, and always had nice jerseys, hope they make it in the playoffs to kinda show that you can make it without playing exactly like others.

Isnt this pretty typical? I can remember stretches with less Rangers fans on the main boards; haven’t seen much obvious flyers fans, Sharks fans etc since those teams have declined

I think they'll be fine, they're certainly not cup contenders but I expect they'll make the playoffs in a quality Eastern conference.

Who knows? Every year there's a team that has shown promise that absolutely folds down the stretch. I used to root for one. Growing pains are a thing but no Canes fan knew we'd become the team we were/are since 2018-19.

In the games I've watched, they've been impressive. The Devils will be fine and will make the playoffs quite easily in my opinion. That said, it's a young team that will take time to build consistency.
