Are the Leafs gonna be tougher to play against?

Other than the yapping and being easy to dislike I don’t see a similarity at all.

How is the narrative supposed to go when Treliving is the new GM?

Reaves is a 4th liner. I dont know how much of a difference he can be.

Not only speed, but that’s one example. It also comes in the way of willingness to fight. Board battles. Taking the puck to the inside, net front. Fighting for your ice. Taking liberties, getting under people’s skin. Just to name a few

That’s why Bunting annoyed me so much, wouldn’t drop the mittens. Domi don’t drop them lots but at least he will. Sandin dropped them when Matthews got a cheap shot but not Bunting. Not saying Domi makes us tougher but he’ll defend his teammates quicker than Buntings never.

Domi, Bertuzzi and Reeves definitely give the Leafs more snarl. If by some chance our core even embrace push back because of them, this is a home run

The hope is that these 3 will draw the rest of the team into the fight...the image of Schenn being the only guy chirping vs Tampa was pathetic.
 
If Simmons could keep up with the play he would have been more effective. Reaves can skate at least which makes him less of a liability. Imho these types are needed when the role is played properly. What Bennet did to Knives was acceptable by the team apparently and is ridiculous that it was aloud. Sundin didn’t get too many cheap shots because they knew they’d have pay the piper if they did.
