Sure as heck looking like these guys don’t have what it takes to even win a round. Just pure crap play. They look lazy and uninvolved in every way. $22,000,000 of giveaways and missed shots. Incredible how they choke and don’t rise to the top. That was a disgusting game. Unfortunately it’s a pattern. All talk from them two and no action. If we win they won’t be the ones that helped.

Can't speak for everyone, but compiling regular season stats, winning personal awards is all fun and games, but not when everyone knows you're going to fall off a cliff in the playoffs in an elimination game and not even seem to understand why. This year was the redemption tour. Next year, the redemption redemption tour isn't going to be very interesting to watch unless Marner is gone.

the funny thing is seemingly Nylander has learned.from his experience s and finally figured out what it took to be a top player in the post season.

Marner and to a lesser extent Matthews both regressed in that regard. They have nothing to blame but themselves

Leafs record 0-8 and in those 8 games

Matthews 1 -2-3 points and Marner 0-2-2 points.

In big games you need your stars to show up big-time and AM and MM have little to no impact in games where you can win a series.

Marner deserves every bit of flack he gets for this performance. I've never seen a top line player struggle more for an entire long series and make no alterations to their game - just become more stick heavy, tentative, avoid contact.

But what in the absolute hell was Keefe thinking continuing putting Hyman - Matthews - Marner out together. Everyone on the hockey world saw a line that had zero chemistry. A line that was neutered yet even in the dying moments down two goals that trio never got split up other then occasional shifts with Nylander.

Nothing should be sacred come playoff time. Starting franchise goalies have ridden the bench. Star players have been scratched. Yet the Leafs couldn't have split up Matthews and Marner? All three of those players struggled and they struggled worse cause ALL OF THEM WERE IN A FUNK.

How was it that for the duration of three straight losses Marner never got removed from the top line? Possessions were literally dying on his stick and not once did this coaching staff think that maybe our first line needed a shake up? If that was Nylander he wouldn't have seen the ice for the final 10 minutes of the game - but Marner gets some magic pass despite being a liability.

I dislike stubbornness from coaches and managers in all sports. The stubbornness to think that those three players needed to continue to play together is insanity. Every other line got blendered all throughout the playoffs. Nylander had what, 9 different linemates? But Marner and Matthews are essential together? Amateur level nonsense.
