Hate to break it to you but dawg you are middle ageBro im 29 and not balding, im full bald.
No need to gift your money to Geoff. Use this one.I'm going to get his jersey at this rate
Personally, I've noticed that the more aggressive he is, the better he plays. There are times where he looks lackadaisical. But when the switch is turned on, he seems more involved in the play. The only negative I see is hoping that all that power can be harnessed.Xhekaj has taken way too much penalties. I don't like that.
The last time for me involving the Habs was when Colby Armstrong blindsided Saku Koivu behind the Habs net. Sheldon Souray rushed over and pounded the piss out of Armstrong. It was a lopsided fight, but I found it exciting.I'm trying to remember the last time I got excited watching a hockey fight and nothing comes up lol, probably somewhere in the mid 2000's when it was still the norm to see them. It's been ages since we've had that kind of presence on the team, feels good man.
And more importantly, this kid can play and has top 4 potential. He'll fight from time to time, that's one aspect of his game, but he'll never be a nuisance out there unlike some of the talentless goons that were on this team 20 years ago. Very nice.

Maybe it's because I was young but it is this one this for me. The Habs-Bruins rivalry was super hot back then, I hated Boychuk too. Loved Ryan White.
Prime-Lucic... Ok. But modern-day, worn-down Lucic? Xhekaj would destroy him. I honestly don't see a fighter who would humiliate the Sheriff at the NHL-level.He could very well become the toughest guy in the nhl in a couple of years. All the current toughest players/fighters are starting to get old: Lucic, Wilson, Reaves, Deslauriers, Oleksiak, Chara (retired)
Would love to see him against Wilson. That's a tough customer in his prime.Prime-Lucic... Ok. But modern-day, worn-down Lucic? Xhekaj would destroy him. I honestly don't see a fighter who would humiliate the Sheriff at the NHL-level.
The league is softer than ever, of course, but given those parameters, AX is a force. He could handle anyone who's left. Kassian is a serious customer in terms of brutes still hanging out in the show to this day. And he made him his bitch. I'm not worried in the slightest, Xhekaj could spar with anyone. So solid, so strong, great control and he doesn't hold back. Hopefully he grows into the role of protecting our star players while still playing a defensive and transition game that allows him to help the team win.
Wilson is a poser. He lays down the dirty hits but he only drops the gloves with safe adversaries. AX would eat him alive.Would love to see him against Wilson. That's a tough customer in his prime.
Hopefully, you're right as there are not a lot of toughs left out there in the league...Wilson is a poser. He lays down the dirty hits but he only drops the gloves with safe adversaries. AX would eat him alive.
A couple of more fights like this and he will not even get challenged going forward.Arber needs to pick his spots. No need to drop for the show nor with any goon. First off, he’s still young. Second, he’s needed as a solid and physical D.
This one was fine as Kassian wanted to change the momentum. But fighting for the sake of it is not recommended.
Yeah, some guys need to have that killer instinct on. I also think Slaf scored that goal because he was pissed after the hit and got more aggressive. He should keep that mindset at all times.Personally, I've noticed that the more aggressive he is, the better he plays. There are times where he looks lackadaisical. Suzuki is another guy that plays better after being hit.
What's not to love about this kid?
Had a great game last night in all facets of the game. That's what I get excited about with him. He's an absolute monster of a player AND he can play. Not many in the league these days like that.
Exciting to see what he can develop into.
I think the most important thing that gets overshadowed is that he can play... That cross-ice pass to Dadonov for a one-timer was sweet! And given the fact he wasn't drafted in the CHL, nor in the NHL, and now plays and is having success, imagine the morale this kid has, he learned to work hard because he was disregarded early on, now he's reaping, but even better, pretty sure he won't sit on his laurels, he'll keep working hard on his game.
And that friendship he has with Slafkovsky ? Just great to see, those 2 could wreak havoc for years to come.
