We are going to draft our number 1 center/winger in the 2023 draft. Same for goalie. Don't see any elite #1 D in the top 3-5 in the 2023 draft.

Maybe with the 2024-2025 draft , we will draft our number 1 D.

Guhle - Hutson
Mailloux - Harris
Xhekaj - ?

are the future D, based on prejections and D needs. It fills every need from Offensive D (Hutson/Mailloux), 2 Way (Guhle/Harris), D stud (Xhekaj)

With I think Barron either fitting that last whole as a 2 Way, or being used as a trade chip to bring in a stud, or being filled by another draft pick.

And when I say the future I mean a couple of years. Norlinder/Struble etc being used as 7 D/trade chips.

All I know is I love this kid and the D in the future looks outrageous

While I appreciate The Sheriff's toughness I hope that young Sens prospect is ok. He got hammered on another level.
Xhekaj will quickly get a reputation as someone not to mess with.
Laval will need him this season.
