Are you a Father my good man?If he performs well during his ELC, when he'll be up for a new contract, I fear he could bring us to Arbertration...
To my knowledge, noAre you a Father my good man?
Lol, well sir, you're gonna make a great one with those.. jokes lolTo my knowledge, no
He didn’t look out of place at all, very impressive first showing.Build a time machine, go back 13 months and watch the exhibition games he played for the Habs last year
The moment Lyle stared at the Buffalo bench and took a slap shot right into their bench he became a Habs legendThat's be great. From what i can recall (i was young) Odelein was a clean player. Solid fighter. Good hitter. Somewhat of a troll at time. Nice guy and for the most part clean. Anyway from what my old brain can remember lol

You're definitely right. We should hold back our expectations. But it's so hard to hold back when it comes to this kid. His back ground story alone, makes me hope like hell that he does make it.Let's temper our expectations a little bit. He was a huge over overage player in the OHL. Making the NHL is a long shot for him, personally I don't think he makes it, but I am pulling for him.
The Expos had someone like that but unfortunately traded him before he could make his mark. The moment Lyle stared at the Buffalo bench and took a slap shot right into their bench he became a Habs legend

I actually remember that as well. Damn good timesI also remember during the first game ever at the bell center, he got in a fight with Darren Langdon, and headbutted him.

I had to google that...wow he really almost died...they had to put him in a coma to perform very complex surgeries. Glad he's ok now. And all because of golf and cactus thorns (but mostly cactus thorns).he filled a role in the 90's because you didn't have to be able to skate or have hockey smarts lol. He was tough as nails, seriously his IQ was close to room temp. Glad he's (Lyle Odelein) ok after almost dying by getting a cactus poke in his toe of all things, he almost died.
Odelein may not have been the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he was a fantastic tool to have nonetheless.he filled a role in the 90's because you didn't have to be able to skate or have hockey smarts lol. Where were you man!!! I missed your enthusiasm about playoff warriors, you have to post more on here my friend.I had to google that...wow he really almost died...they had to put him in a coma to perform very complex surgeries. Xhekaj...maybe he can be a taller/bigger Odelein...that would be something.
I'm really pulling for Xhekaj to make it...will make it more easier to minimize the trolling from troll-players like Brady Tkachuk (as one example).
I would not be upset if he became a solid #6 policeman dman for us. (heck...I'll take him as a #6-7dman...mostly in lineup for protection...when we play bigger players that try to injure our smaller skilled players...and to protect our goalies). And, also...maybe he can be a meaner #6-7 dman version of our ex-Hab Ben Chiarot...one day? (both from Hamilton, Ont.).
Odelein may not have been the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he was a fantastic tool to have nonetheless.
True story, in juniors he played for Moose Jaw, and of course was fighting a lot... so much so that his knuckles became seriously infected. He told his coach that while he didn't think he could play, and definitely couldn't fight. Coach told him that he needed him to play, but that he wasn't to fight, so Odelein agreed. They're playing the Regina Pats and things got rough, and Odelein was grabbed and forced to fight, and took a beating. The next day the coach had everyone that was on the ice, including the goaltender, traded, because nobody came in to stick up for Odelein when he had protected them to the point that his hands were all messed up.
Haha!! Thanks!! Much appreciated! And, you too!! (positive energy!!).Where were you man!!! I missed your enthusiasm about playoff warriors, you have to post more on here my friend.
Edit : (now I'm not sure I'm remembering the right guy but let's say it's you)
Watching your posts history, I realize you've been back for a while but I didn't see your comments up until now. We need your enthusiasm on these boards, keep it up!
Arber will destroy him.Even if it’s this troll’s face ? View attachment 579568
As some of my former fav Habs were Souray, Emelin, Romanov; I'm excited for the physicality Xhekaj is going to bring to our blueline.
