Xhekaj's becoming extremely overrated on here as well it seems... ironically because he was a physical beast last year in juniors.

I love underdogs stories too, but if Xhekaj becomes half a Romanov it's gonna be a win
Yeah something about that kid tells me he will be a great find.
You are right Romanov is a terrific player and Xhekaj has his work cut out for him to get to that level.

I have watched a few highlite video's. He does not keep his feet moving when he is not engaged, he's going to have to work on that so he does not get caught flat footed at the next level.

A lot of his hits are late hits where he's taken himself completely out of the play (along with the guy he hit, mind you). Early on, refs might cll him regularly for charging?

Hip checks are strong -- that's a good thing. Not many people will want to enter the zone on his side, or through the middle, even, when he is on the ice.

Just don't know if his skating timing and everything else will be good enough for the NHL? I'd like him to make it, for sure.

Just putting Xhekaj on the ice will get into opponents' heads -- never a bad thing. If he can play as well, bonus!
Lol, this basically looks like the junior version of byfuglien bulldozing services Inc.

I am afraid whether he can transform his play to NHL level. He was overaged player in juniors (2001 sometimes playing against 2005s) yet he was often caught out of play or taking bad penalties. In NHL, players are way more skilled. Even hard-hitting Dmen needs to be poised and time his hits.

Off the charts swag 10/10

Lyle was one of my favorite habs of all time. Just a hard nosed tough, honest hockey player. I would be over the moon if Jackeye became that type of player.

Odelein was on 96 world cup team.

It's an awfully high bar, plus the game doesn't exactly cater to that style the way it used to.

Xhekaj is a bit of throwback player who might have trouble finding his niche in the new game.
