My favorite place in the world is a small beach off the side of a road outside a small town called Whitehall up in Michigan, and I'm always disappointed when a year goes by without making a trek up there.

I mean, my wife, son, and I are going to San Diego instead for the first time this summer, so that'll be fun. I really want to go to Curaçao at some point and hitting up a few choice European destinations (UK/Ireland and Benelux/Bavaria) are on my bucket list as well. There are big chunks of the US that I've never visited but want to go to, like DC, NYC, New England, and the Pacific Northwest.

But man, if you told me that I'd have fifty more years on this planet, and of that time I'd spend fifty more weeks or more up in Whitehall, I'd be a damn happy man.

It’s your money to do with what you want, absolutely. For me, life is about experiences. Shows, World Series tickets, travel, etc. People on their deathbeds wish they experienced more. No one on their deathbed ever wishes they bought the Acura instead of the Honda. Just my two cents.
Certainly not disagreeing with you but it's a bit weird(?) that when I look back at many of my memories, I remember what car I was driving at that time (VW bug, Karmann Ghia, Mustang, Jeep, Corvette, Bronco, Tahoe, etc). 'Course there was a personal reason for each particular car I owned; starting back in high school all the way to the present.

I am about experiences too. I love concerts still at my age even, travel (hitting Pinehurst in August for golf, MOAB, Zion, Antelope Canyon Sept and Kona in December). Planning a NM trip next year and a Pebble Beach/Spyglass trip next summer too. I have enough stuff and honestly when I look to buy something I just don't have the desire for more stuff. Except SB Dunk sneakers.....which I do enjoy collecting and have 150-175 pairs DS. Little lady thinks I have lost my head a little with them but it is a source of entertainment I guess?

MRI today. Get to find out if I can go back to work sometime soon and drive again or if I need to career pivot at breakneck speed. Pretty nervous.
Best of luck DHF

Getting the itch to start playing hockey again. I haven’t really played since I moved to the city back in 2014. Is my only option to play at Johnny’s? I’m not even a C-level player at this point

I bought a BMW X3 M40i. I liked the SUV when I thought I wouldn’t. I almost bought a KIA lol. Those things are nice
Those are super nice vehicles and congrats on the purchase! We are placing our order for an XC60 with the T8 hybrid engine today and should get it by October. 455hp is probably going to get me in trouble at some point...... Really really going to miss my Sub though.

I actually drove one of those! It was excellent to drive. Congrats! Just couldn't get past how fun driving that BMW was. It was so responsive. I drove an S5 from Audi and an RS5 and I legit don't think I could have got my golf clubs in the back.

It is crazy how quick and fun that Volvo is with the electric motor

That would be a hard pass on the bolded as I am in the same boat.

The main reason we got the XC60 is our great dane seemed to be able to get in and out easier for some reason. there is more 'room' with the door in back being little bigger so he was more comfortable that way. The 40i was our 1b choice depending on how ordering goes with the Volvo. Either way we both win :)

Never been a fan.

Don’t care for fireworks and they scare the living crap out of my dogs. Usually try and get out of town to somewhere quiet but had too many work projects to rely on bad internet.

But hey nothing says freedom like blowing up cheap Chinese fireworks and hotdogs.
