Down 57 pounds and I benched my body weight for the first time in over a decade this morning. Feels good man.

Been active my whole life, not so much heavy weight training, but I still don't think I would be able to bench my body weight. Nice, dude.
Was 260-270 when I had my stroke. I feel so much better but I think I might be weaker than when I was heavy. Work a physical job. Swing a sledge every day. Huge props to my bud from work who dragged me to the gym. Guy is a monster. Can bench 300.

There is no such thing as ethical consumption.
Every company has skeletons.

If you boycotted every company that did shady stuff, you'd have nowhere to live and nothing to eat, and would own nothing.

My personal favorite is when people say they refuse to shop at Walmart because of ethics and whatever but then turn around and order from Amazon instead.

Pretty big difference between businesses that exist to exploit and being exploited by a company.

Banks are bad. Loan sharks are worse. Please don't talk down to me.

Oh I don't disagree. Things like title loans and payday loans should be flat out illegal.

That doesn't change the fact that all business is built on the exploitation of someone, somewhere. It's just a matter of how blatant they are.

All I said was people like that suck. You proceeded to lecture me.

Thanks but no thanks.
I didn't mean it like that. I Had no intent to be condescending. Sorry it came across that way.

My point was not to get angry at someone trying to make a living, but instead at the people who are getting filthy rich on loan sharking.

People do what they have to to put food on the table and have a roof over their head.

If your means of scraping out a living is morally reprehensible find a new means of making a living. They can both suck.

That depends on where you draw the line.

I quit a job when I found out that the charities I was soliciting used 85% on fundraising. Wouldn't stand for it.
Morality isn't subjective. If you need to do awful things to survive that's one thing. If you do awful things to make more money that's something else entirely.

That the car salesman is no different than me and you. His industry is just more blatant.
Car salesman in my experience celebrate getting people to sign terrible financial contracts. That's certainly different than what do. I hope it's different for you.

Don't work jobs that encourage you to take advantage of people. Or be a shitty person.

It's that easy.
