I am not a huge fan of champagne but I know to stay away from the ****ty stuff.

Yep. I don't mind good champagne. I stay away from anything sub $30. I'd probably drink this, only because it's free, and the cruise has so many limits to alcohol on board. Gives me something to sip in my cabin, or with dinner, without having to pay outrageously for a bottle, or a glass, or another drink. Glass of pinot noir with my steak and lobster cost me $11 one night. The steak and lobster was only $20. Haha. Next time I'll bring a bottle with me. You're allowed to bring one per person on board the ship, but if you want to drink it at your formal dinner table, you get charged a $10 corking fee...

Wait, you don’t do the drink package?

No. I don't drink that much. Between my fiance and I(I paid for all the drinks), we spent about $175 on drinks for 5 days. The drink package would have been $250 apiece, and you both have to get it because they don't want you sharing by getting other people's drinks on one package. Combined we spent less than it would have cost for one of us to have the package(which you can't do). My fiance doesn't drink much. I had probably 12-15 drinks over the 3 actual days on the ship, and she had 4-5, maybe 6.

We had an open bar private beach in Freeport the one day($55 apiece for this excursion) so we wouldn't have drank much on the ship that day, and we were on a snorkling excursion in Nassau and shopping the next day. That's 7-9 hours of two days where we wouldn't be on the boat using it. Just made no sense for us. There is no way we'd drink $500 worth of booze in basically 3 days on the ship. We didn't even hit half of that. Maybe if we had a group of people on board to party with, and we weren't getting off the ship much. I prefer to get off and see the places we go, though.

There is a manhunt right now down street from me

Officer may or may not have been shot in Dolton (Initial reports was he was shot , Now say simply injured)

The chopper is circling overhead right now and officers are walking the railyard with rifles

My question is... why do you continue to live there?

I assume you have your rifle ready & loaded as well?

So my wedding is next week... Gifts for the Groomsmen question..

My finacee and I already got our wedding party customizes Yeti's with their name on it...

shopping

I am also considering getting my groomsmen these 9-can soft sided coolers (dependent on their favorite team).

It's more the 9-can cooler I'm hesitant on. That's a little smaller cooler. Do people on here think that's a cool idea, or should I let it go? I would go with a larger cooler, but I get a good deal on this one, so it's not nearly as big of a hit to the budget. I basically just want to get an opinion on whether or people would use that 9-can cooler  I know I would, but I guess I don't know what everyone else thinks.

I would use it, if that helps. I go to a lot of small functions like parades, small outdoor concerts that are put on by villages(Bolingbrook and Burr Ridge do these all summer), etc. and a 9 can cooler is the perfect thing for it. They're all usually BYOB. Most of these things only last a couple hours, and I normally bring a 6 pack with, and that type of cooler bag is perfect for it.

Stick with the 9. Unless a cooler is on wheels, the bigger ones are generally impractical. Not easy to carry around 24+ cans of beer.

Yeah, even with some of the bigger, soft-sided cooler bags, it's just not practical/comfortable to throw a 24 pack of beer over your shoulder. Only way those make sense is if we're going to the beach for a full day, or something like that, and we don't want to try rolling a cooler through the sand and/or carrying it awkwardly between two people across the beach. That may be the only time ours gets any use, honestly. For larger parties, we always have the big coolers on wheels, whether at our house, or someone else's.

Awesome! Really appreciate it guys. Like I said, I know I would use it, because sometimes I'll just get a 6-pack when I'm heading over to my brothers for a night or something.

I will, however, have to skip the advise on getting them all Bears coolers

I love my small cooler bag. It will fit a 6 pack, a sandwich, some meat for a grill(think hot dogs or sausage in their small packages), or a couple bottles of water, if you want, rather than taking only beer in it. Any time I'm meeting a group of people for tailgating or something like that(and they have the larger stuff like grills and such), I'll always use that for the above reasons.

Me either unfortunately :(

My boat has at least gotten a little bit of use doing the whole boating/swimming/tubing thing, but definitely haven't fished enough. I don't think I've picked up a rod since around the 4th of July. :(

Getting out this Saturday, though. And the fall fishing season is coming up, which is my favorite time to fish. I'll be out there a lot from late September to late November, and then I'll move on to the ice fishing season.

Summer is typically when I do the least amount of fishing, and more boating, actually.

I'm a big cruise fan. Went on my 1st in 7 years last November, an RCI one Cococay and Nassau.

Didn't do the drink package, it's too damn expensive. Snuck whiskey in with Rum Runners and got the pop package, so I just made my own drinks all trip. Might do Norwegian for my next cruise, as they run a lot of offers that include the package free.

We've become huge fans. Can't wait to go again in March. The rum runners work well eh? We haven't been checking bags on the ship as sometimes it's hours and hours before you have them. May have to try it out. I'm just happy that I have no issues getting my oil pen on board in my backpack. :thumbu:

This is going to sound silly, but I'm pretty sure seeing Titanic really young ruined boats for me altogether. I'm generally fine with handling my fears, but I'm not paying to handle them.
