I’ve been thinking about trading down. I’m getting sick of mine.

Oddly enough, as much as I don't care for cars I think we'll be having to buy something with 4WD or AWD so I can get to work in the winter on snow days. I can work from home if I wanted to, but when we get a good storm at this company everyone goes skiing together so I don't want to miss out on that not to mention the great conditions.

Probably going to get a Crosstrek, I think.

Have any of you guys ever heard of or used fuboTV?

It's a sports focused, but not limited to, streaming service. Cloud based DVR, 3 people can stream per device, and if I'm reading this correctly they auto-record every game and have it available for 3 days if you forget to record it.

$55/month. We did a free trial and I may need to just buy a subscription now. It was pretty awesome.
Doesn't have ESPN though. I have Playstation Vue and I get ESPN. Which does have MNF and Sunday Night Baseball. I think Vue is the best streaming service for Sports fans. Same price.

I use my in laws logins for ESPN and a handful of other channels so that's not an issue. Although I think you can subscribe to ESPN+ for $5/month which is worth it alone during hockey season if you don't get Center Ice. There are like 1-2 games aired just about every night it seemed like. I'm sure it'll be great for extra CFB games, too.

Yeah, living out of market for Chicago sports I just buy the NHL.TV subscription. You also get 5 streams and DVR etc on Vue.

Between ESPN+ and the games the Hawks get nationally aired or on NHLN it's left me with so few games to watch that I just stream what I can't get and it's been a solid setup for me.

I also get the Vegas games as my "local" team out here in SLC.

Cars are one thing that I just don't give a **** about. As long as it has working AC for the summer and it starts reliably, that's all I care about.

I am the same way. The last car I had was great in every way but from around 120,000 to 200,000 miles, I ended up putting a lot of money into it. Routine stuff, starter, catalytic converter, timing belt, etc. It was just time for a new one and I didn’t want to buy some older car at around 100K miles and go through all of that again when I could get a newish one with low miles, much better MPG and new features. Now that I have it, I am going to keep it tip top, it has a really cool paint. Both sides have their pros and cons. Never buy something with 0 miles though, that’s a waste IMO.

Good luck in your search, you’ll be impressed by the new features. There’s a lot of distracted drivers on the road, the cameras come in really handy.

I've been thinking about buying an NA Miata for years now. I don't know that I'll ever do it, unless I were much older and essentially bought one to rebuild it from scratch. All new engine, everything. Maybe even an electric drivetrain.

So my wedding is this weekend. Originally looked like the weather was going to be great, but each run of the weather models is making is cooler and more rain. Looking like it could be in the 60s (which I would love if it was sunny) and rainy. Ugh. I mean, it's not the end of the world to me, but I know that'll upset the to-be wife. Luckily we don't have anything outside - it'll just ruin our plans for pictures.

Congrats! One word of advice from someone who was married once already. Don't sweat the small things during the wedding. Just enjoy it. It goes by sooooooo damn fast.

Where at? I live in the western burbs... we should grab a beer or something while you're out here.

Oswego at the pottery barn/farm (cool venue).

I fly in at 6am Saturday and fly out early Sunday morning so I doubt a beer will work but I will fly in for one of the get togethers at some point.

Congrats and best wishes for the weather this weekend. We got married outside so I was stressed the f*** out when rain was in the forecast that day. Luckily it didn't rain in Wheaton.

No doubt. I don't want rain.. but if that's the worst thing to happen, I think I'll consider it a successful day.

Thank you very much! Still a lot up in the air regarding the weather, but hoping for the best. It's not the end of the world, but I know it'll stress the lady out, and we don't need that.

:naughty:

And congrats OCMC!

Thanks :)

I do not live in Chicago, but you're welcome to come to my wedding too if you want.

What are you doing for the honeymoon?

Someone already beat me to the punchline on this.. lol. But we are going to a Sandals resort in Antigua.

More violence here in Dolton with yet another murder as Chicago teen girl was shot dead outside of Moonlight Food and Liquor

That area has been sketchy for years

This came as village meeting approved hiring of more police so if anything at least this violence outbreak has pushed action in that regard

Also Sheriff's deputies will do more patrolling of area (Already have patrol substation here in former city hall)

Honestly outside of the shooting back in Feb my area has been quiet. Hear gunfire every now and then but usually its blocks away in Riverdale

Happy for you

Maybe the rain will stay away for your pics
