RIP Luke Perry

Was not a 90210 fan (That was my sisters) but I did watch Jeremiah on Showtime and OZ both of which he was on

Also Keith Flint from The Prodigy killed himself

When I was younger I had to have listened to The Fat of the Land a thousand times. It was a damn good album

Just started listening to this again while working out, sad to hear. There have been a lot of commercials about them coming to Chicago as part of a festival. I wonder what it was that made him give in to this.

Also, yeah, Luke Perry was amazing in OZ. RIP

Yes to all of the above.

Love cooking with olive oil, I substitute it for butter and/or other oils all the time. Love red wine, especially cabs, malbecs, tempranillos, etc. And seafood is my favorite food. :thumbu:
Sangria is alright. We had it at served at our wedding and end up getting it when we go back every year for our anniversary dinner. I never really seek it out otherwise.

Red wine is great. Seafood is great.

Have you guys tried ordering seafood online? I just tried it and was very impressed. They overnighted it and it got there around 10AM the next morning. All fresh and had ice packs around it. I’ve never found seafood that fresh at the grocery store. The quality and taste was outstanding. Got a bunch of scallops and some salmon. Will be ordering more when I run out. Highly recommend.

Never have. I don't do much of the cooking in are house and therefore don't do much of the shopping, but that sounds good.

I did a lot of research. The one I PMed you and Chihawks seemed like the most reasonably priced, reliable, good reviews and had been around the longest. There are a lot of sites that do it. There’s even this guy in Alaska who catches your fish with a fishing pole and sends it to you, but that is out of my price range.

Another food question for the Hawks peeps. How many of you buy or order online food (meat, eggs, or other) that is made and certified to be completely bio. Which means 100% natural ingredients or for example with eggs the chickens are fed 100% natural bio ingredients. I see this gaining traction because there is too much unknown garbage put in preservatives. Obviously the cost of said bio food is higher, but you get what you pay for.

I always look for the most natural. There absolutely is a lot of crap put in our food and water. I only drink natural spring water from a water cooler. With the eggs, I just buy the free range ones from Sam’s Club. I want to find a farm nearby to get them from since I eat so many. But yeah, I am mostly buying the most natural the regular grocery stores have available. There is a Whole Foods near to me that I need to check out soon. If I had a house, I would definitely start a chicken flock. A lot of people do that for chicken and eggs.

Had some lobster and clams sent 2 day from Maine and they were still alive when they got here. They were both incredible.

Lobsters and other shellfish were once prison food because no one else wanted to eat it. Cost nothing and was considered low class.

I happen to think it's immoral to cook live shellfish, but that's a different issue.

Sheesh, Alex Trebek announced he has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Can only wish him all the best on the battle ahead.

Statistically that’s one of the most dire diagnosis one can get. Means 6-12 months for 90%. It’s usually detected very late because of a lack of symptoms in the early stages. Terrible disease, with minimal progress in finding effective treatments.

I diddnt know where to put this but if you guys get the reference this is a great commercial

I can’t remember the name of the company for the life of me but it was a spoof on an older commercial that ran in Chicago for awhile that had notoriously bad acting and was just a down right weird commercial.
