How much longer of a look do they need at Moverare

Any longer and it’s a wake
Comparing him to Caleb Jones, they're deciding on the two. Expects Moverare to play Abaheim tomorrow.

6D and 15 forwards. Expect Ziemmer to go back to juniors from what Hoven has said.
It was something he's speculated. He thought it was more likely based on what he heard. At least that was my interpretation.

I think it would be silly to keep a player up in the AHL and miss game time if they still plan to send him down to juniors. But I guess that wouldn't be the first time I rolled my eyes at management's decision with a prosoect.

I hope he stays and succeeds. Like Dvorak.

Hillers needs to focus on getting Spence, Clark Turcott Byfield playing to their full potential. They have too get the most out of their young talent and that will help them be successful.

It's been stated Moverare's 2 year deal might make him less attractive to waiver claim.

Unless he plays better than I have ever seen him. he falls with the Reign.

CJ has been better.

Ziemer has stunk , Hoven could be partly basing juniors on that.

Do you have to look like you are from Seattle to be in the Kings press pool?

Hiller will be focusing on getting wins to playoff and save his and Roob's asses, first and foremost.

Whatever he thinks is best for that will be what he goes with.

Whoever he is getting the most from will be what he goes with.

Development remains a non critical priority.

How do you let a player continue playing while running a fever for 6 weeks straight? I'm trying to place my feelings about Blake and Luc aside, but that seems dangerous and wreckless no matter who is in charge of the team?

Need more info than, he ran a fever......but sure, professinal teams are dangerous and reckless when it comes to their athletes, and the athletes of today certainly have no voice or outlet for medical decision....Eich....wait....what?

I’m sure there will have been medical input.

Not to mention the possibility of others getting sick.

Like, I get that hockey players are supposed to push through pain and all that, but illness is a different issue.

Die from 6 weeks of typhoid fever while playing pro hockey.

I get that, but a fever in some instances is a life threatening condition and trip to the ER.
Which obviously wasn’t the case. ‘Fever’ is the word QB used but when used by a non medical person it’s usually fairly subjective without numbers supporting it. He may have felt feverish without actually running a very high temperature - there’s a couple of conditions. It’s symptoms vs signs (medically).

It could (more likely) be something that the fever was easily/safely managed by a couple of paracetamol. Or perhaps QB simply used the wrong term.

I don’t know obviously but I seriously doubt they would do anything to remotely put him at risk.

That's fair - we'll never know the depth of what he had. But it boils down to an athlete not feeling peak condition outside of the normal wear and tear for 6 weeks.

Along with the health of the player, there are legitimate reasons (especially after COVID) to have a higher level of urgency.

Obviously I won't second-guess how medical personnel treats their patients, as I'm no doctor, but these are things I worry about as a layman.

Doctors have a legal responsibility first and foremost, in this case it’s very public and high profile. It’s obviously possible that they’d put a patient at risk but it’s not all that probable. I’m sure the NHLPA would quickly get involved if QB was not happy with things either.

Hey it’s nothing more than my layman view also, so I could be completely off base. There’s certainly nothing wrong with questioning things though. It’s the natural response to what QB said, as I’m certainly curious.

Yeah, you're pretty spot on with this. You just hear the details and it sounds so crazy, but like you hinted at, if something shady happened there would be others involved and we aren't privy to all the details.

Moverare waived

Anger rising

I understand keeping Burroughs because he's righty even though he's my immediate proximal punching bag this year. Cannot justify keeping Englund/BOTH Englund and Burroughs over Moverare at this point, we have enough face punchers at this time, we don't need two shitty ones. Burroughs gets a lot of hits because he's always chasing the play and is brainless. Englund was statistically the worst regular dman in the NHL last year and it showed and that was DESPITE having a monster partner in Spence. Moverare is 26 now and STILL not getting a chance because of dinosaurs.

Studnicka staying up is interesting though and I assume it's because of his versatility over Helenius at this time

I've actually been somewhat impressed with Studnicka after not expecting much. But if push came to shove, I'll take the guy who can shove harder in Helenius, but Studnicka admittedly has done well. Helenius will get his time.

Was going to post about Moverare being waived and Helenius being sent down to the AHL.

Bummer about Helenius, but I get it. He's waiver exempt and Studnicka has been solid. Forgot he was Thomas' teammate in Niagara.

I just think, should a middle sixer go down, Studnicka is a more natural replacement than Helenius. Plus Helenius' time will come next year for certain if not sooner.

Moverare has a ceiling of #6/7 D at the NHL level. Why would you be hangry over this? Get yourself a Snickers Bar.

There’s a strong argument that he’s the better player over Englund and given the added toughness on the roster he’s it’s easy to argue that he should be waived. I’m neutral on the move myself because hopefully neither will see much action, although Edmundson isn’t the most durable guy.

I think he benefits more from bigger minutes in the AHL… at the moment.
