Montgomery is over there sitting Pasta and jabbing Marchand. Only a matter of time before Bérubé starts doing the same.

Has anyone ever seen John Hynes and Jim Montgomery in the same room together?

We got a point on a back to back, against a rested team that had won 6 of 7 heading into tonights game.

Stolarz again with a very strong performance.

We now have a four game homestand against three teams in DET, MON, OTT that most likely wont make the playoffs, so we need to win these games.
A good thread idea would be starting a 'Lost Points' counter, to track performance against shit teams. Really curious to see how many they piss away en route to another third place divisional finish this year.

The way things are going, I could see the whole season just getting away from them and they will hemorrhage so many points away we won't even count anymore.

If Stolarz is injured it may be unintentional tank situation.
Do we have our 25 1st pick?

Leafs don’t have a first round pick this season. Leafs don’t have many draft picks either. The core needs to get themselves out of this hole there’s no help coming.

With what picks? Biggest waste of a year if that happens.

That was a pretty intense game, and the boys worked hard for a point. Minnesota was the better team, but there are a lot of positives to take from the game.

PP finally scored, PK was solid, Stolarz is giving us the goaltending we need. We played a pretty solid road game until we appeared to gas in the 3rd. We were playing a very good team today.

I recognize folks aren’t happy with the result, which is fine, but to call this effort pathetic is plain ignorant, it was anything but. Some of the posters here appear to be way too emotional and perhaps relatively new to hockey. We were never going to go 82-0. The team will improve, like it does every year. Our execution isn’t great right now, as many on the team are trying to figure this out. It doesn’t all happen in camp. This is a long term change. We’re probably going to be inconsistent for a while.

Yet we’re still getting points, and have the same record we did last year. All that matters is that we are playing our best come spring.

Berube trying to put a square peg in a round hole.
You need to put your players in the best position to succeed.

Learning curve?

Watch the players body language. Star players have to do their part. But the bottom six needs improvement badly

Our team just isn't that good.

Let's look at our forwards outside of Marner, Matthews and Nylander.

Tavares is like a 3C at this point. Pats is a vet min. Domi is hardly serviceable outside of Matthew's line. Bottom 6 may as well not exist. Knies is good, but we wasted his ELC lol.

Am we gonna get that much value from Knies after he's on a 7 mil contract?

Also, 3rd line D is awful. Lilly really wasn't any better than this crap?
