The Give-a-Shit Meter is running a little low. Reminds me of Peter Horachuk's Leafs.

I'm not noticing much enthusiasm or buy-in for the North-South stay-in-your-lane kind of hockey. I wonder how long this will last.

No worries anyway, since Boy Wonder and his protégé are both gone, and the regular season is meaningless. All that really matters is being old, slow, and rough-and-tumble enough to survive in the playoffs, if they make it that far, right?

Maybe we've been missing out on the late-season drama of clinching the eighth and final playoff spot the past several years anyway. Bring it on!

LMAO. McCabe gets a -1 on the night because OEL decided to skate off the ice at the wrong time. I'm guessing OEL thought Domi was a lock to get to the puck? Just a hideous read from OEL. nhl.com goal visualizer is a pretty good tool to see it.

It's tough but with the talent the team has, it just needs a shake up. Sometimes a trade can wake everyone up and fill some gaps. Team needs a complete buy in, that's Berube's job.

It's getting dire because the only wins were on teams that had really bad games, and even those were close. A big trade, some depth scoring and a team buy in.

3rd game in 4 nights, 2nd night of a back-to-back, the time change, and overtime. I don't think it is wise to read too much into this game, which wasn't even all that bad. Minnesota dominated in the 3rd, and was probably the better team throughout, but it is not as if Stolarz stole a point tonight. The team played well enough to get to OT, not well enough to win, and that's okay.

The larger issue, which I do get the frustration on, is that we are now through the first month and about 1/6 of the season and this team looks as mediocre as ever. It isn't even that we are getting bad luck either: Our team shooting percentage is 24th, but that is in large part a product of our terrible PP (5-on-5 shooting percentage is 8th). PDO suggests we're getting some help on the defensive side, despite being 19th in G.A.

Probably too early to panic, but things need to turn around and soon, first and foremost with Matthews, who has looked particularly hapless thus far.

Domi cant be our 3C anymore, better suited off on the wing, this is the 3rd or 4th year of not having a quality 3C.

Ugly showing again tonight, the wildy inconsistent team continues.

Two good games from JT is also mistaking everyone from thinking we have 2C or 3C solved.

Domi isn't a good 3C evidently and Tavares is a 3C right now. The start of the year I was questioning if Tavares was a 3C. Now obviously that was an overreaction, but he's def declined to 3C.

If we move Domi onto Matthews wing who are we playing at 3C? Dewar? Holmberg?

Disgusting.

The more I think about this roster the more barf I get.

This is what happens when a fighter tries to teach goal scorers how to create offence. Dump pucks deep. North south. Shoot from horrible angles instead of creating a more dangerous play.
Yeah Keefe who taught them to be cute got so much from them. So much so he got fired while they all got paid. Y'all will wish we were more like Florida, Carolina and all those other cup contenders and then watch them play exactly the same way Berube is trying to teach them how to play.

Yeah, I'm watching.

The results say it all.

This team doesn't look like it is buying into the way Berube wants them to play. Management knows who the problem childs are and need to move one of them in order to send a strong message. Play the way the coach wants or you are gone. Can't keep firing and hiring coaches, that is not the problem. The problem is with certain players that are influencing the rest of the team to not buy in.

We once had the Muskoka 5. Now we've got the Fortnite 5.

This team is unlikeble. Just a blend team whose talent sometimes looks worth watching, but otherwise not impressive. At least we could watch Matthews score before but thats not happening as much.
Berube better have something going soon because he hasn't been great either.

Quite an entertaining, if disappointing game.

Stolartz, Timmins, Tanev, and Nylander looked good, the rest of them not do much.

Finally a PP goal - who could have imagined that putting a right handed good shot in that spot would work? Did someone just notice that that's what Boston and Washington and other good teams do, or was it a matter of just realizing that Nylander is a much better shot than Marner?

Great game, very entertaining. Ran out of gas vs a rested team in the 3rd. Stolarz is amazing. Next

We suck just the right amount this year to not be buried yet. I don’t see much change overall to the game from a coachable standpoint. They’re definitely not any tougher to play against or show any glaring improvements. Maybe the defence is slightly better. If we’re talking about non coaching improvements, Storlarz is the best goalie we’ve had since Andersen IMO and he’s the only bright spot.
