At some point the reality will set in that Domi cannot be the third line centre, and especially not in the playoffs. My guess is that Treliving already knows it and is contemplating who he will acquire to take that spot.

Gm doesn't make the call on icing the team. That's on the coach. Coach ices the team. Coach decides who starts and who sits

Sarcasm aside, it wouldn't be the first time the Leafs ruined a goaltending prospect. They haven't been able to develop an actual goalie since Felix Potvin.

To continue with Samsonov in net beyond this point is neglect beyond comprehension. Sure, the Leafs are a giveaway machine, lackadaisical at times, make boneheadedplays, half a third and fourth line that can’t defend, but this goaltending is absolute inexcusable.

That 5th goal did it for me. That was a shot he has to find. Yes, even the best get beaten on a half chance like that, but it's just a reocurring theme right now. Put him out of his misery by sending him down. He will either shake off what's bothering him or disappear into oblivion.

its not the perfect situation but leafs will probably need to live with samsonov as back up unstead if something appear on waiver or whatever

Leafs really didn't draft a goalie like that until Rask.
Leafs never ruined any development of a goalie.

Eric fichaud was supposed to be the next big thing based on draft position and Pogge just flopped
