I mean put it this way...they're 28-4-3 with a history of being a 100+ point playoff team, if they're not for real than nobody is.
4 future hall of famers skating there in Bergeron, Marchand, Hall and Pasta. Good complimentary pieces, Krecji has won a cup with them and is a top notch player, Debrusk has figured it out: Smith, Foligno, Coyle, have size and experience and can play the game. Defense is very sound and balanced, D by committee and McAvoy is sort of off the spot, they aren't depending on him. Goaltending has been superb. Hard not to see them as a contender for the cup at this point. Only 4 regulations losses all year, I mean . . .
They are well coached and playing with all the confidence in the world. They give you very little and are very dangerous themselves.
They've got some age to be sure. Some of the top guys have a history of injury - Bergeron and Hall have been healthier this year than in several prior seasons.
Too bad we couldn't at least get to OT once we tied it up. I mean that was tough coming back in the 3d and was a real character builder. Until we then coughed it back up which may have been even more deflating. How do we get out of this death spiral? Our confidence has to be about as low as it was high last month and there's plenty of season to go. Stay tuned I guess. But watching has become a bit painful.
