SJ has no urgency to move Meier now, there will be more suitors at the deadline as teams jockey for cap space
Maybe you can make it worth their while

We have copious amounts of value. Enough to maybe play rich with and overspend on a big present

I’m not saying to fire Lindy now, but he can take a hike if Brunette is looking for a HC job next season
I don't think they'll let that happen.

Lindy likely won't be the head coach here next year at any rate.

I do think Boston is the cup favorite right now

I think the Lightning are probably a first or second round exit this year. They could come back next year though.

Colorado could do it again, but they badly need help at the deadline.

I don't think anyone else in the west is doing it, but I still think Edmonton can't be written off just for how good their two stars are. Look how many points they got in the playoffs last year.

I don't trust the goalies in Vegas, if that's a big surprise.
It’s crazy Boston such an old veteran team you would think our guys could put skate and run laps around them. I remember people on here not wanting an older player or two. Weird seeing night and day

Holtz will learn nothing more in Utica. Especially considering there are no decent centers on the team to set him up.
He is ready for pros now. Just needs time and patience which Ruff doesn't want to give him.

The rare game he has started on a top 6 line, Holtz has found himself back on 4th line after 1 period. How he meant to find consistency and chemistry with a top 6 center if that happens.

Either play him or if you dont think he is capable of a top 6 role, then trade him.
Ruff is killing this guy career.

That's not how it works. He's not playing because he's not strong or willing enough and the Devils have better options.

Dominating AHL level players won't do much for his career at this point.

Jack Hughes was in a similar situation at that stage of his career but at that time the Devils didn't have better options.

Ah, okay. It literally took winning 1 game over a multi week stretch while every other team goes on huge win streaks just to get where we are right now. None of those teams will get cold, we won’t heat up again.

It's REALLY hard to regain ground in the NHL because of 3 point games, which the entire Metro almost exclusively plays in EXCEPT us.

We will end up 9th because the Atlantic isn't very good

Lol bad teams can’t beat most of any other team let alone good ones.

You guys realize almost every single one of these losses have been decided by one goal not counting empty nets? That there have been key injuries including missing the entire second pairing D for the last two games that were against the best team in the league? And despite this they still out chanced and outskated the bruins and lost those two games by a differential of -2?

Just because this team isn’t the juggernaut they fooled you into thinking they were early on, doesn’t not mean they are the opposite extreme. It’s like you guys want your doomsday takes to be proven right so badly.

I can assure you I’m sick and tired of watching this team fall apart every December and I can also assure you I don’t want them to fall apart again after being the toast of the league a month ago. It’s not about wanting to be right it’s about watching the all too familiar mistakes and bad breaks and loss after loss that have been non stop for a decade. We don’t want to be right but why would we think anything else right now?

Their older players are actually really good and playing about 8 or 10 years younger than they actually are.

Bergeron is one of those guys like Pavelski that doesn't age.

They did not outplay the Bruins tonight. Thats pure homer glasses.
They played them evenly enough to win. These are one goal games. The difference between winning and losing is literally one goalie being slightly better, one team being slightly better at finishing, or even at times just pure randomness. Stop acting like the devils are getting skated out of their jocks.
