Winnipeg is far too deep at LD to be interested in adding yet another. Josh Morrissey, Nate Schmidt, Brendon Dhillon, Logan Stanley with blue chip prospects Ville Heinola & Dyman Samberg playing in the AHL due to the depth at LD.

Winnipeg actually has 4 right shooting players, be they forward or defensemen, on their entire roster with nothing of note on their AHL team to draw from. When the deal is fairly announced, if there's an actual player or prospect involved we'd hope it was a right shooting forward or defensemen coming our way.

Trading away both Laine & Roslovic last season & the year priors LTIR injury to Bryan Little really made things a mess for the team from a handedness perspective.

I think the thing with these guys like Jones and Robertson is that with so much of the D already home grown it's pretty unlikely that they'd both be finding a place on the Rangers as well. You don't hold onto assets forever

But...if we have to move on from Lindberg in the next couple of years....we will need some bodies for the left side ....at least two pf them . IMO that is Jones and Robertson with a mind on the timeline with regard to Nemeth also moving on . Then again...who really knows.....GM might have other ideas and somebody might surprise along the way .That would be good if so.... EDIT : OK...I meant Lindgren ! That would be a Jets decision .It would definitely change the offer if he agreed to sign a new deal and likely cost us more .
