If it's one of Robertson or Jones, I would think Robertson goes, since we just signed Scanlin.

Even if the deal is Jones and two picks for him, if he's extended in lieu of Strome, this is a deal I make 100/100 times. You can't prospect hug forever until they all lose value.

I'm going to high five myself for this one. I'm the one who brought up Copp as a trade target early in the season.

I'm wondering if the best deal the Jets had on the table was two 2nds and we threw in a guy like Hajek as a sweetener to get it done. Maybe that's wishful thinking based on the tweet above...but who knows.

while robertson would not be great, its still a win for the rangers

the guy is never going to see big minutes for the rangers

I think Robertson could potentially get there. Miller will probably be a beast for a long time, but Lindgren is the only other LD that he is really competing with long term.

I hope he fits in well and I hope the contract he signs is reasonable starting with a $4...

Robertson was a 2nd round pick who has probably edged his way up closer to a late 1st/early 2nd. He's a big add to a trade that was purportedly only going to be about two seconds.

It's possible Winnipeg has liked Hajek back to the Trouba deal and the main offering was the (2) 2nd's. May be seen as a 'throw-in' on someone they have liked for a while

Hajek actually makes a lot of sense, since we might have to waive him anyway with all the other players we brought in. Unless we are going to send Schneider down.

I think it might be Hajek, 2nd and the entire WPG organization gets coupons for life at Colony Pizza.

I could be that Robertson replaces one of those 2nds and the add is a lower pick. We still have another 4th this year.

the more i think about it, Hajek and two 2nd's actually makes sense for a guy Winnipeg was going to lose for nothing...
