Good to know, thanks! I'm not really in need of a new rig at the moment, and I'm thinking I want to build one with my daughter, but she's only 5, so another 2-3 years seems like a reasonable timeframe. Maybe we'll build two, one for her, one for me lol.

Real talk, jaster, you could probably build my build or Eric's build in 2-3 years and it'll be like a grand. That's normally what I would do. Stuff tanks in price after a generation.

On a different note... I need to find out how to design logos in Armored Core 6. You can customize the shit out of a robot mech. I have it all painted red. So now, I need to find out how to design the Winged Wheel so I can have a sick Red Wings Gundam in game.

For anybody who lives in Metro Detroit, where and when do we get these Braeburn Apples everyone won't shut up about? Farmer's Market?

I think I've seen them in Meijer...but they don't ripen until October. And an orchard would probably be your best bet. Do some googling for orchards in your area, and you can likely find a place that has them and will have a u-pick time so you can go out and pluck them off the tree yourself.

You'll pay more than you will at Meijer, but I think they will taste better, too.

Should be cheaper at the upick places than Meijer. I picked a bushel for $24 yesterday. Rather, my kids picked them while I carried the bag. :D

If you live on the north side:

I'm one step closer to moving back to Michigan. Second interview went well, I was told that HR approved relo package.... which kinda indicates they want me, lol. If the company pays for it, moving back to Michigan is a no-brainer for me.

Mobile/phone games....

Does anyone happen to play World of Warships Blitz? It's literally the only game I've played for at least a few years. I've burned myself out on it a few times, but always come back. I like that I can play for as little as 7 minutes at a time and still accomplish something useful. I also just like sending a bunch of colored pixels down to Davy Jones locker. Get some.

Places to visit:

Spent all of July in Italy. Don't miss this place. Rome, Naples, and Florence were our base camps. Never rented a car. Took the train for 2 days in Venice (plenty of time).
Trained it down to Calabria. Had a great time in every area.

Heading back to the NW area in June (Milan and Piedmont region), but only for a week. Any insight on where to go after that? We have thought of heading N-NE (Switzerland and Germany) or eastward through the South of France and into Spain (with most of the time being spent in the latter.

Bologna is cool.

Consider a Belgrade. Quick flight from Milan and off the beaten path for many. Damn cool city.

In total, over about 5 or 6 years.... probably about $60. I generally operate within the free experience, I have enough fun with that (this game offers quite a lot for free). However, I've sprung a few times for something I really wanted.

I absolutely fell in love with Switzerland while I was there. Adelboden, Bern and Zurich are wonderful and my recommendation would be any of them. I'm going to try going back around Christmas 2024 for a 2 week trip starting on the French side and taking the train through the Alps to Austria.

Did Switzerland and France last summer, would highly recommend Bernese Oberland area if you are a nature lover. Be a good amount of tourists but if you do any moderate walk up the mountain it thins out pretty quickly. We planned to do the tour du mont blanc but plans changed so we did our bases out of Chamonix, Zermatt and Grindelwald. Would love to go back and check out Italy next year and Austria.

Did not expect open pits of bears in Bern... that was a surprise. I guess a quick Google search would have been helpful.
