Nope, they got rid of a couple ingredients and can no longer offer it.
I worked at a pizza place in South Lyon, MI in high school many, many year's ago called Aleko's. We made a BLT pizza (round, not Detroit style) that was an absolute hit, soooo good. I feel your pain haha.

EDIT: Well whadduya know, Aleko's is still kicking, and 25 years later they're still making that BLT pizza....

Aleko's Restaurant and Catering

Opened 2 boxes of UDS2 and hit on both Seider and Raymond Young Guns cards. Only better result would have been pulling both in 1 box. Stashing the other 3 boxes.

I am definitely celebrating with Crazy Bread today before Game 3. Terrible location be damned!

Jets is the real deal. We had an 8 person family so our take out options were pretty limited growing up. We actually ended up getting a custom pizza named after us. Square, no cheese, extra sauce, green peppers, mushroom. (Named after us by the person or two who were Boy Scouts under my mom and dad as troop leaders who worked at that jets)

New Baltimore was not a very large town

So I don't think I've actually ever had Jet's. By the time one popped up in my part of Michigan I had already moved out of the area. Or if I did have it I don't really recall?

But I see there are about half a dozen of them sprinkled around the Twin Cities suburbs. I'll have to travel out sometime to pick one up.

Any must have specialities of theirs I should get?

Depending on how much pizza I want I prefer a simple 4 or 8 corner pizza with pepperoni and ham.

Their expansion is relatively recent (about a decade or so) to my knowledge. First one outside of Michigan that I noticed was in Joliet, IL near where a friend lived. Since that time they have been growing stretching as far out as the Sonoran Desert here in Phoenix.

Never had Jets until 2008 after a gig in Hamtramck. Whenever I was in the Detroit area the pizza I had was Villa Italian Bakery. Always.

Their 8-Corner BBQ Chicken is a banger.

I hate that I always seem to come in with big subject changes, lol.

I got two though.

Update on fitness challenge, after workout yesterday saw 241.2 (granted, this was water weight, so not super relevant, but when you start at 266, that's a big drop! Still keeping up on the same everything, so just more updates. Did take a break on 10,000 step days on that extreme heat day in Michigan, So happy to just live life, not get wrapped up in things, and enjoy the outdoors.

and something completely different than that even, just bought a RTX3080 FTW3 GPU. Graphics cards are finally, finally "reasonable". $660 is still a bunch for one computer component. One of the main reasons is that I want to hand down my old PC to my mom because we both have VR headsets and her PC is just too slow to do any of the linked PCVR stuff. So it's time for my three year computer upgrade. So far, I've just order the GPU and have a fancy new Platinum efficiency PSU. Trying to determine whether I want to do something crazy with an AIO or custom loop so the inside of my computer will look super cool or just high end efficiency.

My trip to AZ was last week. I went to Detroit Coney- Man that was way better than I thought it would be. Owner is super nice guy (Shoutout Oak Park). And yeah I saw they have Jets in AZ. Like wtf? Haha. Freaking rich snowbirds.

DIY Watch Club | Make your own mechanical watch

Does anyone have any experience with these guys? I like to collect watches and I've built a few for fun with parts I picked up off ebay or ofrei (my goal is to swipe enough Panerai parts to make an actual luminor of my own), but DIY watch club is fairly new.

Also what are some of the crafty/tinkery type hobbies you guys have here?

a small blender, some cold coffee, vanilla ice cream, and however much Kahlua that happens to fall out of the bottle makes a wonderful drink
I like blendng butterscotch schnapps, Bailey's, vanilla ice cream, and a touch of milk into a shake. Tastes like a candy bar.

Been a hot minute since I used it but I have a 3D printer. And my little brother laser etches stuff.

alright folks, I'm looking for suggestions for places to go, things to see, and where to eat in the UP. bulk of the trip will be in grand marais, hoping to see pictured rocks and Tahquamenon falls. Looking at the bear farm up there. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Whelp with the news coming out today I'm pretty happy to have a start date in september for a new gig in the Netherlands.

I live six blocks north of Capitol Hill, so I'm anticipating a pretty eventful weekend to say the least.

As someone who dates same-sex partners, the concurrence was a pretty chilling read. Probably the first day since 2015 that I've really had to wrestle with the possibility of not enjoying a nationally-recognized marriage, depending on how far the Court stretches this new precedent.

I know the board has a no politics rule so I won't get too deep in the weeds, but I suspect it will be a pretty anxious time here in D.C.

If you get time, Sault Ste. Marie is a great little town. Michigan, anyway. I've never been across to SSM, Ontario.

Do make sure you see Pictured Rocks. Take a boat tour, weather permitting. It's worth it.

As for food and such, I don't really know stuff out that way intimately but if you make your way to Marquette let me know and I'll talk your ear off.
