Why hello good sir, what ya looking for?
It’ll be a year from now. I go to basically a week long accounting conference. So it would end up being nightlife, food, hotel of note. Preferable if in walking distance (2 miles) of the convention center). Or if something really cool drivable I can rent a car instead of ubering

My parents are out visiting, and they brought some Faygo and Vernors, however unless my memory has completely left me, is Vernors different?

I remember it being bolder and dryer when I was growing up, it just seems overly sweet, closer to Canada Dry, which is something I wanted to avoid. I haven't gotten into the Rock and Rye or Red Pop yet.

If that's the case, I don't see this ending well.
TBF, I'm expecting the Faygo to be sweet. That wouldn't be a shocker.

But the Vernors...it's not what I was expecting. It's not terrible, but I just remember it having a stronger flavor growing up. After I posted I looked it up, and both Canada Dry and Vernors are both made by Dr Pepper now.

Little Caesars is replacing Papa Johns as the pizza sponsor for the NFL.

I guess that's an upgrade? Shitty pizza chain upends shittier pizza chain.

Someone in Pizza Hut marketing is pissed people don't realize they had the sponsorship deal the last 3 years.

Ehh, I really don't watch football anymore, but Pizza Hut has gone to shit too. Their pizza is as flat as Little Caesar's, but if you want a large stuffed crust and bread you're paying a whopping $30.

JETS is pretty easily the best for me.

You have it backwards. Shitty pizza chain gets upended by shittiest pizza chain.
Nah man. Little Caesar's is just thin as f***. Papa John's is vomit worthy.

JETS and I have a Twitter war going right now. They got rid of the BLT pizza after 30 years of being the best pizza on the planet, they've gone and broke my heart.

Little Caesers ain't bad. People in Michigan are spoiled for good pizza choices and don't realize it.

But Jets is legit, I'll give you that. They opened up a few of them in South Austin so whenever I head down there I have to get a Detroit style pizza from there. All the other Detroit style pizza places in Austin are hipster spots that are good but overpriced like Via 313.

Little Caesars crazy bread is cocaine in gluten form. Little Caesars pizza though is... I wouldn't go so far as to say it's trash (as in I'd never consume it. It's still more than edible) but I feel like I could name 10 better options around me.

Their square pizzas are OK, but the round pizzas are not great. But still, pizza choices here in Dallas aren't that great. To get something that's run of the mill pizza in Michigan you're paying out the nose or waiting for an hour here.

Little Caesar's is fine for a budget pizza. The only reason I do not go more is because the closest one to me is in a terrible location. Might venture out for Crazy Bread later.

Jets opened 2 locations on Phoenix metro (Phoenix proper and Chandler) but neither is near me. Still get there from time to time. Now that part of the work week is back at the office I can hit up the Phoenix location on the way home from work.

It stinks when somebody drops a good choice from the menu. But can't you just build a custom pie with the same ingredients? Or did they ditch a certain ingredient or sauce altogether?

This. Jet's and my homemade Detroit-style are better, but I grabbed some Little Caesar's (square of course) on my way home from my Chicago men's league game on Saturday and it very much hit the spot. Pepperoni with some crushed red pepper, yum.
