I make Dad jokes, it's not much but it's dishonest.

Might be a long-shot, but anyone have any must-sees around the Smokey Mountains? Going camping and hiking with some buddies for a week this August and figured I'd ask.
Many moons ago, several friends and I shared a cabin in the hills outside Gatlinburg. Probably our favorite time was when we hiked Chimney Tops. Most of it is fine for beginners, but the best views at the end realistically require either rock climbing experience or at least some good boots and gloves. But lots of fun either way.

Enjoy your trip!

Can some of the more wiser posters here tell me about Konstantinov for the Red Wings?

In the ESPN 30/30 the Wings coaches were saying that he was better than Lidstrom, was he really that caliber of player? Who do you choose in their prime?

I did most of my hiking in the Blue Ridge when I lived in Asheville. The only time I ventured to Tennesee I hiked in Cataloochee Valley which was pretty cool. The elk are the big draw. My dogs loved it because it was as all-you-can -eat elk shit buffet for them.
That area wasn't really my former stomping grounds but I know you will have plenty of waterfalls and overlooks to choose from.
Pro tip: if you have a fallen tree in your path; step on top of it and step off instead of straddling over it. The copperheads get pretty active that time of year and favor downed trees.

Vladdy hit everything, and I mean everything. The amounts of breakaways he got was also unreal. The dude was feared by damn near everyone. His offensive zone and defensive zone IQ was top notch. Vladdy was by far the best defensive defenseman in the league at the time of his accident, but he also had really good offensive instincts.

Yeah, to add to this I think it's entirely reasonable to say when Lidstrom's and Vladdy's careers overlapped that Vladdy was indeed the most impactful blueliner for periods. He was really at home in that 90s style hockey.

Was he ever. I think he was our best defenseman in the leadup to his accident. An absolute joy to watch. And thinking about it now, I think Mo is like him in terms of that entertainment factor, almost a flair to their game. I don't think we've had a defenseman in the 25 years in between that brought that. Maybe Kronwall, but that would be solely because of the hits, and he wasn't as dominant overall as Vladdy or Mo.

However, when I imagine the accident not happening, and Vladdy having a full career, I think Lidstrom would still have surpassed him. I think Lidstrom, at his best, was better than Vladdy in '95/96/97. Additionally, due to his size and play style, it's hard to imagine Vladdy having a career even close to Lidstrom's in length.

Whatcha got? I have a feeling I’ll literally be able to play literally anything

Too many things to list.

I currently play a lot of (too much) Hunt Showdown but I dabble in all kinds of online games with friends. Most recently Valheim and V Rising. But I also sub to Xbox Game Pass for PC so I have everything on there too, which is a lot.

Prime day is best day. Got a new gaming laptop as the one I have is fraught with crappiness. My two previous gaming laptops were beasts and never had any issues, this current one I just want to feed to the gators. Also got a complete security system for my house, mainly to see where the pets are when I am out of town so I can still pretend to squish their faces from afar.

I debated buying a new gaming rig but talked myself out of it. Instead I bought a new DeWalt 20v toolset.

Imagine both of them playing together for another decade & winning a total of 6-7 Cups. That's only 2-3 more than w/solo Lidstrom, lofty, but not unattainable.

Ok, put together, it posted and temps are good at idle. I may reseat the heater and redo thermal paste with a better paste as the stuff I got with my AIO seemed kind of jank.
