Seeing that Anaheim has very little to resign Lindholm, And wasn't Etem pretty much a plug until Rakell got resigned. So it wouldn't surprise me to see Etem go back on waivers.

I think he was brought in as a depth player... idk thst they liked what we had in our bottom 6

Rakell isn't healthy enough to play yet and will be put straight onto IR, his contract will not count against the CAP until he's back.

Yes it will. His going straight to IR just means that they don't have to make a roster spot available for him. Besides, they already waived Cramarossa to cover the amount needed to get back under which wasn't much and also to make room on the roster for Etem.

Exactly, Heard that he's still at least 2 weeks away if still not longer before he will be ready. So once he gets over Murray will put him on IR just like what we did with Kronwall makes perfect sense.

Great deal longterm for Anaheim, bad for Rakell longterm. Weird not to bridge him when they Are in the spot they Are in atm cap wise tho

Similar to the Scheifele contract but smaller in scale. Not worth it today, but in a couple years it's a bargain.

If you look into the details of the timing and payment of their salaries year to year, all of these RFA guys will likely be receiving increasing amounts each year until they hit Ufa.

So, Rackell likely starts off making a Shade under or over $3 million and it ends with him making $4.5 million or more in the final year.

So Anaheim has 3,7 million to sign Lindholm? (according to Capfriendly, then Thompson LTIR, Sorensen sent down, Stoner buried)

This will be fun. By the way, a nice deal for Rakell. Got to have someone holding the fort in a couple of years.

not too shabby at all.

lindholm wants that ca$h.

And he deserves alot of it. Should definetly get around 6 mill longterm. Extremely proven already. Rfa's need to do what he is doing now more. I hate that great rfa's gets lowballed while declining ufa's gets longterm high cap deals. I get why it is like this but rfa's needs stand their ground moore. A guy like him deserve a longterm 5,5+ Contract and shouldnt take 1$ less. Would be almost disrespectfull not to pay him 5,5+.

Etem would probably be kept over Raymond given Raymond is on a 2 way deal and Etem is not (so Anaheim would be saving some money there).

Where this is a good deal that does put some pressure on moving pieces.
They'll have around 1M in space after moving someone down.
And even if Fowler is the piece that gets moved will 5M be enough to sign Lindholm?
If not that means at least 2 players on the roster must go.

23 years old, can play wing or center, 20G 23A 46pts in 72 games last season and he's getting better. 3.8 is a good deal for him now and will most likely be a steal in the coming years if he continues to improve.

Wouldn't they just send down Ritchie and/or Sorensen since they don't risk losing either to waivers?

The system doesn't quite work that way. The Ducks have to clear space before they're allowed to sign Rakell to the contract. Rakell can go straight to IR, but they can't use an LTIR Exception on Rakell to make room for his own contract.
