That follow-up question seems like Portzline is unintentionally perpetuating the stereotype that no one wants to play for Columbus.
Makes sense that we want to resign Trouba. We probably like the aav of his next contract too.
I would have to assume it's something discussed a lot in Columbus, not unlike it's discussed here. Good on him for asking a serious question. And good for the Jackets fans for the answer they got. I always thought Trouba only picked Anaheim because of his wife's career. That follow-up question seems like Portzline is unintentionally perpetuating the stereotype that no one wants to play for Columbus.
Yes but let's see how he feels after a year of Ducks hockey.Again, he wanted to be a duck after his ranger saga. Glad to have him!
This article suggests there’s a lot more wrong over there:Trading Trouba, dumping Goodrow, and putting Kreider on the block are all justifiable. But the way it's all been handled, it has to have an effect on the locker room. A lot of NYR fans are trying to argue that Trouba was being a bad apple, but I don't think that is how the players on the team see it.

In my eyes, thats great news for our locker room. Guys liked him so much they are pissed off with the way the Rangers treated Trouba and now others as well.
I think the early returns have been great. I think Trouba has been pretty damn good
Hot take. We end up resigning Trouba at a cap hit we all are happy with. He ends his career in Anaheim and we look back at this trade and are happy about it
