Whoever said Lindholm had leverage is wrong. Losing 5 million dollars isn't leverage. Lindholm got shafted with this contract and I couldn't be more happy about it.

I think Despres is on LTIR which helps a lot (though injury is really sad).

Despres might be on LTIR for now, But what if he gets cleared later and is alright. Then they might be screwed.

How do you figure? Having an internal cap means that they can't afford to spend right up to the cap. Anaheim's budget is usually around $5 million under the current salary cap.
