I don't feel the doom and gloom. I saw a great game plan by the Ducks that took advantage of a team worn down in the third by their schedule and the margin for victory was still only special teams and a few Gibson saves. Was just a stellar, playoff style hockey game and both teams really went at it. not a big deal.

Refs were in over their heads it seemed but minus the review clock thing the only play I had a REAL issue with was that Perry got wide open because after Muzzin checked Rakell, Ricky just held him for the next 7 seconds and didn't allow him to get back to check Perry. Unfortunately those are the breaks, we'll get em sometime too.

3rd point stripped from Kopitar in the last 24 hours hours.

First thing I thought of when they went to review

This is what bothers me more than anything, we let good teams bully us way too easily.

I think they'll step it up when it matters. Scrimmage hero Perron will get erased in the playoffs yet again.

Two games in less than 24 hours, Ducks are rolling, Kings have been pretty pedestrian offensively.

They aren't going to win every game. 4-1 in the last five is a stretch I'll take any time, regardless of the opposition.

Exactly, thank you.

Duck fans are. Bumping old threads on the main board and starting new ones.

If they are, fine, Pride before the fall, etc.

Don't indulge the midseason parade on Katella.

Though I had a funny conversation with my Ducks fan buddy tonight, I basically compared the Kings trying feebly to stay ahead of the ducks to when you try to run out of your garage before the door closes.

Is it safe to come in?

I don't think I could ever have a Ducks fan buddy because every time I see a guy with Ducks gear, I want to beat him the **** up.

They're thirsty for the regular season championship. I'm fine with that.

At this point we aren't seeing a team really hungry to do that in the Kings. I agree.

I'm also not going to say the Ducks are desperate to either, but they typically experience regular season success too, and we don't. I'm more surprised about where we are at than where they are at.

I'd love us to have home ice advantage, but I'm thinking that's not in the cards...but I'm also remembering past years where we fell flat on our faces at the very end (Clowegate, etc.) and those turned out okay, so I'm not going to flip out either.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you Drew Doughty, King of the Overrated Passengers and Norris 10th runner up :sarcasm: :

The biggest thing I take away from that is Carter got run over--which is problematic--and Shore worries me in games like this.

Regardless of how the game turned out, I love the irony of the officials spending several minutes analyzing the fractions of an inch, timestamp, and multiple angles of a skate blade relative to the puck, only to completely forget 16 seconds of play clock. Honestly makes me chuckle at the ineptitude.

I laughed at that the moment they dropped the puck.

Just felt like at that point it wasn't our night. From there, sticks started breaking everywhere, pucks bounced one inch in the wrong direction...hey, it's what happens when two monster teams go head-to-head, every little thing counts.

Tomorrow is going to suck as school for me, nothing but Ducks fan at that place, hell I see more Sharks gear there then Kings stuff. Great school blows for a Kings fan though.

Can't let the Stupid get to you. There is just so much Stupid in the world you'll never be able to get anything done if you get stuck fixating on it.

Like Lewis in the shootout... **** that still pisses me off...

I just realized it wasn't just a back to back but 3 in 4 nights, heh.

Hell of a game all things considered, again margin for victory was just a bounce here and there.
